I know we are passionate fans and at times have our high expectations. But I ask all of BBN to enjoy the Cal Era while it's here, we will all miss him when he's gone. Love my team, love my coach, and we def have great shot at #9.

I enjoy and have enjoyed my ky blue since I was old enough to pay attention. I'm 44now. It hasn't Always been easy or fun or even palpable but I have always watched no matter. I've always supported the players and for the most part the coaches and all they sacrifice to make our lives a little better from November through April ( at least 8 times) . Ky bball was my first love. I cried because of the result of a sporting event the 1st time after a loss in 1992. You knownthe one. Didn't think I'd make it through the Night I was so heartbroken. Still my favorite team . Although the 2012 team and 1996 team (1998 also) are pretty close. Anyway we fans bleed and sweat and cry with these Young men every winter and there are no better and more knowledgeable fans of a team in sports than the ky faithful. BBN. SO yes I am enjoying coach cal and trying to not take it for granted but it really has nothing to do with the reason I tune in , breakdown , study and analyze the games and the players making it so special. You should not have to remind anyone that calls themselves ky fans to enjoy so and so while they are there because im pretty sure our a.d. isn't gonna hire Anymore Gillespie s or tubby s or whoever when we've had cal, pitino,Rupp, hall, etc..walk those sidelines and help bring those championships to bluegrass country. Actually other than the beginning 4 or 5 years of cals tenure here the main attribute he possesses and a good reason he got the job in the first place, the recruits and recruiting, hasn't been up to par with the usual cal classes. I mean every now and then a monk or fox or herro will come though the doors but it's definitely not a given. He has taken advantage of the transfer portal more so recently and had had huge success with that. He is very very good at what he does and in his time here I've learned that he is a damn good college bball coach as well. Something no one could have told me and I would have believed until I've now witnessed it and I have been pleasantly surprised. Hall of famer no doubt, which he already is. 800 wins. To put that I perspective, a guy could start now and average 30 wins a year and it would take him 26 years to get to 800 wins. That sounds unbelievable and exhausting. Lol. 26 , 30 win seasons to get to where cal is. Wow. No amount of recruiting and that will get a coach 800 wins. Knowing what the hell you are doing and being a leader of young men does that and not many have done it better. After cal we will bring in , let me see, I'm guessing Scott drew or maybe even Richard pitino and the ball will keep bouncing, t he wins will keep coming and life will be a good normal and possibly even add a championship or 2. Number 9 is close. And we have to put some distance between us and kansas on the all time wins list.
Jayhawks fan here. There's always love for Kentucky hoops here in the sunflower state because Adolph Rupp learned his craft here under Phog Allen. What's more Coach Cal was an assistant to Larry Brown on the 1988 "Danny and the Miracles" staff. If my team has to lose once in a while there's no shame in losing to Kentucky.
This got me so hype for this year.... I love that locker room talk. This is what we get for having veteran players on the court!! Enough of this one and done. LET'S BUILD A MACHINE
I hate to sound cliche ish but you Already did that, there is no such thing as an unbeatable team You know that. Those are the worse losses by far. The losses that come even after you and your teammates played a very sound, almost mistake free , sharing the ball kind of game where you though there was no way you'd lose this game and it just turns into an all time classic that unfortunately one team had to lose

Cal is such a great motivator, I played for two different schools at the high school level once coach was all business no fun the other was more like cal and the second team was significantly better because we could be relax and just have fun
Why are the Helms titles any less valid than the dozens of AP titles in college football? Would you diss those titles to Adolf Rupp’s face? Pretty sure he would say they’re legit.

It was eventually revealed that Kansas did not get to practice the weak leading up to this game. Something to do with Self having to fly out and meet with the NCAA infractions committee over the pay for play scandal. But yeah it’s weird Kentucky looked great in this game and it ended up being the beginning of the end for Cal at UK because it was mostly downhill from there.
Just saw the brackets.They have Auburn as a one seed. They won’t make it out of the region because they haven’t played any competitive teams away from home
