This was probably one of the best story time vids ever!
I actually got to meet the guy who did the Olive Garden commercial voiceovers (Jim Bracchitta) during my week at the American Legion Jersey Boys' State. Really cool guy! He said the classic, "When you're here, you're family" line and everyone in the auditorium just flipped the hell out.
Yo mr. Sark, I remember eating a purschutto and cheese sandwich one time and since I was kinda in a hurry at the time I was eating pretty fast, I swallowed, and one end of this super thin, finely cut, delicious strip of purschutto went into my gullet while the other end was firmly anchored in the cheese and bread mush i had in my mouth. And since they were store cut they were super long and very thin. It wasnt a choking situation, but I remember just grabbing this slice of purschutto and slowly sliding it out of my esophagus while fighting back the tears and the urge to vomit. that was the only time i felt like a sandwich took advantage of me.
I've had that with fucking mozzarella sticks. It's the *worst* feeling.
Try a vegetable lasagna with it over cheesed. That was the only time I almost choked and pull a glob of cheese from my mouth that stretched to the top of my stomach, and I barely kept myself composed. To make matters worse, everyone who was eating the same thing had the same problems, so it really sucked overall.

Olive Garden, that place people think is fancy because they dress nice and serve wine, but the employee's know better because the kitchen shenanigans are no better than the McDonald's two blocks down.

My last experience at Olive Garden.
I worked at the Olive Garden as a dishwasher for awhile. I would say the three most difficult jobs are 3. Dishwasher, 2. Line cook, and 1. Busser. Dishwasher because you’re the one everyone takes their frustration out on, and you really do just have to stand there and take it sometimes. Line cook because it’s just the most stressful job in the restaurant, bar none, and busser because it’s the second most stressful, but _also_ the most physically demanding job. Those dudes have to be pretty jacked to do their job sufficiently.

Only been in an Olive Garden once. Had bread sticks and Zinfandel wine with my friend, which cause the wait staff to give us dirty looks the entire time we were there.

You just evoked all my repressed war tales from my time at OG. I used to be a busser there in college and the shit they have you do will give you the thousand yard stare at 18. The worst I remember is having to clean up some kid’s puke in the lobby, the sight of which induced more vomiting from his siblings, and then lots of very audible gags from all the adults standing nearby. This went on for a good 5 minutes (heaving, puking, and anguish) while I was on my hands and knees scrubbing it up trying not to puke myself.
That said I met my best friends of over 10 years now at that wretched place so I can’t say I regret it.

Okay, I’ve served and bartended at a restaurant and bar for several years... I will never bitch about work after imagining the horror of a 8 table section and having to keep endless soup, salad, breadsticks, and fucking diet cokes full.
Mr. Sark, you've given me a new life experience. Never before have I laughed so hard that I cried while also desperately trying to avoid throwing up, but you've filled that void in my life that I didn't know needed filling. Somehow, I found a long hair INSIDE a breadstick when I was a kid. We stopped eating there for like 10 years until we figured it was probably safe to eat there again.

So, I first watched this at work and literally couldn't finished watching this because I had to force myself to stop laughing. I laughed so fucking much, like forcibly tried to quiet laugh and it shakes your whole body kinda situation. It caused my abs to seize up and I was in so much pain but couldn't stop laughing.
