মহানায়কের আত্মজীবনীর শেষের পাতাগুলি লিখতে গিয়ে ভাই তরুণ কুমার একবুক যন্ত্রণা কষ্ট নিয়ে চোখের জল মুছতে মুছতে শেষ করলেও অকাট্য সত্যি থেকে সরে আসেননি!
যেভাবে আকস্মিক ভাবে মহানায়ক চলে গেলেন তার পেছনে শুধুমাত্র তাঁর টেপ রেকর্ডার চুরির ঘটনায় মন খারাপ ছিলনা!
ছিল অনেক অজানা কথাও, মহানায়কের মনের গভীরে যে ক্ষত ছিল সেকথা তিনি জানতে না পারলেও বুঝতে পেরেছিলেন খুব ভালোভাবে।
সেই প্রশ্নও তিনি তুলে ধরেছেন।
অন্যদিকে দীর্ঘ সতেরো বছরের সঙ্গিনী ভালোবাসার মানুষ সুপ্রিয়াদেবীর কাছে শেষ বারের মতো মহানায়কে কেন আনা হলোনা সেই বিষয়টিও তুলে ধরেছেন।
তিনি যে কত আপন ছিলেন মহানায়কের তা ভাষায় প্রকাশ করার মতো নয়।
মহানায়কের পরিবার ছিল এক আদর্শ বাঙালি পরিবার।
