I was there that night! We arrived in Anaheim on December 26, 2004 (the same day the earthquake and tsunami hit the Indian Ocean), and spent the first day of 2005 at Disneyland. We returned later that year in August prior to boarding the Disney Magic in San Pedro. That was the last time I was at Disneyland before Nemo construction began in Tomorrowland. 2005 ended up being one of the best years of my life. The steam locomotives at my local miniature railroad finally reentered service, Tony Stewart won the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series championship, I spent my tenth birthday in Salt Lake City, I went on my first cruise, and I really got into gaming and the internet.
After announcing our pregnancy to our parents right before Thanksgiving Dinner in the Bay Area, we wanted to let the Porras Clan back in Southern California know the good news. This is the video we put together to break the news to them.
