I have to admit, after watching pro wrestling for 40 years, I have never come across a person like the very nice/very evil Danhausen. He is a greatly talented individual who would any roster much better. Thank Danhausen for making me a fan again.

It really is a testament to someone who is not classically trained in acting was able to develop his in character discipline so well both here in a more casual setting and in the ring. It is NOT as easy as it looks to stay in character in such a casual context or when very active or laughing hard . There is a reason laughing hard is called breaking. It is extremely difficult to maintain an altered affect and speech/voice pattern when breaking. Especially if your character has altered mobility or physical affect or control. Which Danhausen has all of the above. Its not just speech for his character.
I am sure a lot of you notice the added layers to his character that makes it a LOT more presentable. His eye and mouth expressions, his arm placement and hand expressions. He even alters his torso slightly forward to appear slightly meek, slightly devious, but also slightly naïve and innocent even though attempting to present as evil. He has a very deft mastery of his character and I can think of a lot of modern actors who are straight up in the acting industry who would admire that level of control and skill on their character concept.
If you are ever going to create a character or assume a role for a play I would highly recommend a similar setting of a couple friends who can even be somewhat judgmental but in a caring way. Maybe even encourage your friends to throw you unexpected situations so you can learn to stay in character in a variety of improvised situations Then get in character and just train yourself for a while with it. Let them tell you if you are doing anything blatantly asynchronistic to your character or role. The more believable you can be in a variety of situations, the more comfortable you become with it. The easier it will be to assume that role at a moments notice or bring it through a play or act or media convincingly and professionally.
I used to play a low IQ viking shaman for this themed bed and breakfast in Minnesota. At first I was very unconvincing and very ineffective because I had just jumped into it. (Granted they gave no training and I only knew my role about 1 hour before we started our first show lol.) But when I had time to go home, find people to just train with and watch me, when I went back I was able to get guests crying with laughter fairly easily. Even if you do not have INNATE comedy or acting skills you can grasp rudimentary ideas and concepts just from your prior knowledge of such characters in other media and your past and if you have confidence you can do a LOT better then even you would expect of yourself. Be confident in yourself! Eventually we were doing parades and gained a fair deal of popularity outside of the bed and breakfast itself. If I can do it I can say with 5000000% certainty you can too!
