Jude Bellingham has become the best player in the world less than six months after signing for Real Madrid. Only three years ago he was playing for Birmingham City in the Championship.
As Seb Stafford-Bloor writes, Bellingham’s ascent has been rapid, but his evolving role in many different systems and under different managers have given him the tools to be elite at Real Madrid.

He has the perfect coach right now in Ancelotti, who gives players the freedom to express themselves in their best roles. Great to see.

Even if he doesn't play as centrally in a five man midfield, he has the confidence to help get your team further up the pitch. I think of Trequista's doing that, attacking midfielders struggle to do that if the players ahead of them aren't strong - he can, that's why he has been compared to Kaka (who was also the world's best player briefly).

Fantastic graphics throughout. Thank you Tifo team. Also, great story. Fascinating how Bellingham has begun the season
I love how he has this new, free kind of role and he still gets through a ton of defensive work - more in the defensive third than the attacking third. There's no quality more admirable in football than hard work and professionalism, regardless of talent level. It seems to illustrate how grateful some players are that they can do this for a living. For a young man who's got the world at his feet, in a sport where money, fame and ego can be a star's downfall, it's even more impressive to me.
Hilarious, he's an egotistical wee twerp. Great player though

As an American, one thing that confused me was reading how Birmingham retired his number, which was odd, because it seemed odd to do that for a 16 year old. Watching the World Cup last year, Bellingham reemerged on my radar because he was such a rock for England in midfield. Tifo showed us three charts from Jude's time at Dortmund, but who knows? He's a product of Birmingham city. They produced him. Dortmund nurtured him

@@KilluaYT420 i agree. we just bought a rough diamond from birmingham and then cut his edges... now ancelotti is giving him the final polish.
dortmund haven't produced any generational players lol. the word "generational" is getting thrown around too casually
No shirt number should ever be retired. No player is bigger than the club. You have a club legends and years later you will have another club legend who will wear that number. And then in 100 years from now you will have an epi collection of legends who played in that number. David Beckham, C Ronaldo played in 7, for the same club, Messi Marradonna 10 for Argentina etc etc
Bellingham is amazing, exceeded expectations, but I'd say Harry Kane should be considered the best player in the world atm. If he continues this insane run and do well in CL and Euros, there should be no doubt who deserves the Ballon D'Or next year.
To add to this: Kane has been severely underrated for so long because of the team he played for. Glad people are finally catching on - and he is able to up the level even more with a better side around him!
Bellingham is a midfielder that can do the job of a striker and Kane is a striker that can do the job of a midfielder. That's why their link up is sooo good. Both are the top 2 in the world right now

This video is kind of my issue at times with Tifo. Fantastic content and graphics but your titles tackle bigger stories than you’re willing to appropriately commit resources to. I’d surely listen to you try to convince me Jude is more productive than Kane right now though you’d have an uphill battle but I’d listen. But then I get 6 minutes of 6 high level stats which is impossible to explain how a player is the best in the world. By what benchmark? Vs what longitudinal data? Was it just tongue in cheek?

Please save us with Vini Jr, Camavinga, Tchoua, Militao, Courtois, etc, etc injuries Don Jude Bellingham....
I think this is a case of misinterpretation. Jude has been just as good for every team he’s played with before joining los blancos. Has he ever had a season where he didn’t outperform every other midfielder (arguably player) in his league?Admittedly his stats are quite better since being in Madrid but I don’t think it’s a stretch to argue he’s been the most inform player in the world for the the past two years.
That guy has a badass name.

The actual answer is: Social Media
When the goals dry up we will see what he offers the team. Nothing but a puff piece for Real Madrid.

Just re watch the Atletico game, that is what happens when Bellingham doesn't score. They lose. They need a proper 9 in the summer.

To answer the question : he didn’t. But since the media wants to go nuts and sell things everyone found him to be the most viable, likable, agreeable option.
There are some incredibly massive errors here. When Jude joined, Reyna was not the player we played on the left, nor was he a major player in any sense of the word...
Hey Jude
He’s honestly exceeded expectations. But if Real Madrid buys a number 9 I think his role might change again to more if a number 8 depending on what type of number 9 they get.
True but we could possibly keep this system
It will, he's better as a creator
@@Ffgdchgcc well, seeing this system is Carlo Ancelotti's magnum opus, the system could change if he leaves. I know the new fanbase don't respect a legend like Carlo, but he's very good and adaptable. I'd be happy with him if he decides to stay. Good for our youngsters.
He will still retain the number 10 role if Ancelotti use the 4-2-3-1 system rather than outdated diamond formation.
Brazil 1970 was the founder of the diamond formation while Denmark 1992 was the founder of the 4-2-3-1.

Since playing alongside a legend of the game in Joselu he really has stepped up.
