Thank you Donald for your help. I changed the amp meter on my 1937 International (Ford engine) to the volt meter, just as you demonstrated and it worked perfect. I now know something new to help my friends that build cars, so again Thank You!
So from watching your video are you saying to connect the wire from the old Ampmeter and push them aside because we are not using them with the new Voltmeter? Thanks
the volt meter lets you know how the battery is doing and does not need the higher current to flow thru the circuit and will not heat up. The amp meter just lets you know what current is flowing at that particular time and will not let you know the battery condition.
I was going to test my tractor amp meter with direct battery, but Don say NO Go! Can I remove amp wires to replace with volt meter or must I tie amp wires together?

Which is better amp meter or volt meter? May amp wiring was so hot when start it.

Just an observation, the voltmeter didn’t show much of a change when you reved the engine.
voltage wont change much, the current is what you will see increase when revving up, but we removed the ampmeter.
How do you know it’s charging
charging voltage is higher than 12 volts, usually around 14 volts
