I had my recent market which turned out to be more flea market than craft fair. A lot of older folks without kids looking for people reselling stuff from goodwill. I made a few sales but definitely wasn't the place or audience for my plushies. I'm sure both of us will have better experiences next time
I know some people have a lot of success at breweries, but I feel like it’s very dependent on the crowd there. Like I feel like some of them are more family friendly events than others.
Definitely don’t give up and keep trying new venues! You never know what will be like the perfect event.
I have a love/hate relationship with outdoor events because I am heat intolerant (and so is my kid because of autoimmune issues) so we struggle but I always feel like they’re better overall than indoor ones sometimes
Yes ! Exactly I’m definitely learning and rolling with the waves. After posting this I’ve heard so many people have positive experiences with it, I’ll definitely have to try another venue/location 🥹☺️

Sorry you didn't have a busy market on this occasion but I had to jump in the comments and say that I love your mystery boxes. I'd be stoked with any of the cats, they are simply adorable!
i did an event by the same people that hosted the one you went to, i even got the email to attend that one! it was the st pete is awesome or something like that lol.I had a horrible turnout, hardly anyone came and most other vendors there were very disappointed as they told us there would be AT LEAST 1200 people, there may have been 250 in 5 hours. It was everyone's first time vending there , and everyone said they wouldnt be coming back 😭
Oh my goodness ! I did an event with them in January and had a bad turnout but I chalked it up to people spending less from Christmas, so I decided it was time to try again and I wasn’t sure if it was my inventory or what but yes ! Sorry you had that experience, I’m definitely going to focus my future efforts elsewhere as well 💗🤲🏻

I hope and pray that that lady was drunk behaving that way. And that poor dog. It’s definitely not advised to let dogs get anything crocheted or knitted because the yarn ingested can cause severe bowel obstructions. I’ve even heard of it getting tangled and causing necrotic bowel from it knotting up tissue among other issues. I just remember our beagle eating our rug and we were for a day pulling string out of the poor thing’s bottom that she couldn't fully pass. Thank god that was the only issue we had. People are just awful.
when you buy yarn on sale it only counts for half, so 2 skeins are actually just 1 and 20 is really just 10. its science, or math.....or nonsence :p

oh wow that poor froggy keychain :( that seems disrespectful to you as the artist to give it to her dog, i love my dogs and spoil them rotten but yea chrochet plushies are not for puppys. i one had a little toddler run over to my table and put his mouth on a crochet football. awww a tip, those are nice, when you get someone that really appreciates the the time, and care put into amigirumi.
