This video is almost unbelievable, to have such a different place in Hungary. Yes, we have learned that we have this place, but we navel ever know. It's history. One answer here did put it so clearly what has happened so many, many years ago. I am so pleased that I have seen it, and I did tied to post it to friends, hoping they will enjoy as much as I did. Thank you so very much. If there is anything like this coming out again, I would be so happy to see it. God bless all the people who made this video possible. 🙏❤️💙😱😇
"With a little courage, the wild can be given back the space to unfold its wonder - like Puszta". What a poetic summing up! Kudos to all those who participated in making this documentary.
"Their mother has not laid its eggs anywhere near the water, a strategy that seems to work... No predator has found the nest... The little turtles march off in different directions. So, predators can NEVER get ALL of them." What an exquisite pointer in survival lessons in the grand scheme of evolution... These and other documentaries of similar nature help me understand biology in all its interesting facets and varied hues and colours... Thank you so much.
Man can prove to be an angel. Here is the proof. He has restored this National Park. And he includes she... Thanks to all who made this possible. Thanks also to those who contributed to making of this documentary.
Is marvelous time to watch this documentary and I appreciate the opportunity to meet with you through your tireless efforts to bring this moment to the public domain. thanks very much.
Behind of small geographical and historical inaccuracies, excellent documentary. A huge bow to the floor for the cameraman(s), filming all those impossible angles. A must to see material.
LaurV “ behind of “ ? 😂 talk about inaccuracies , Haha ... sorry , couldn’t help it & Had to say something 😝. It always seems to happen when someone’s correcting something or remarking over something wrong. They’ll misspell something or have some Kind of error / inaccuracy with proper word choice or within their sentence structure. ( improper / being absent of punctuation ,etc ). What inaccuracies are you referring to ? ( also , I’m just lightheartedly joking in pointing out the errors in your comment. No hard feelings! 😁 )
Watched entire episode without a blink, thank you for protecting such a thriving piece of land that houses so many species. Although I have watched countless nature documentaries, it's the first time I have seen that curved beak bird and it's fascinating, also makes me wonder how much less of species I have seen.
Outstanding photography and narration. Who would have thought a place in Europe could give so much to nature with all creatures therein finding their own place. It was interesting from start to finish. Thank you for what must have been hours and hours of photography to collect, sort and edit to make such a wonderful documentary.
thank you so much for a delightful documentry and music was awesome to and the voice was awesome to i really enjoyed this video i have learned so much watching your videos and the sound was excellant for me to hear the video ..... thank you again cant wait till the next one smiles
WOW - What an amazing documentary. I thoroughly enjoyed this video from start to finish, wishing that it could've been longer !!! It was delightful, thank you.

"I realized that nature is very peaceful. She only disturbs those who disturb themselves, but she teaches wisdom to those who admire and appreciate her beauty." ~ Sri Rama, Living With The Masters In The Himalayas.
masterful video, astounding shots, superb music bytes perfectly matched to each segment. I AM IMPRESSED as highly as any top shelf nature documentary I have seen. I surely pray your projects exist into the 2018s. So far, I am happily exploring your 2015 content. Please assure me you are continuing to produce and post such world-class work. Blessings to you all and many thanks.
"June 29th...I played a recording of its own call"...the commentary informed us..... that is exactly what I did with a Barred Owl in NW Florida 4 years ago. The recording attracted about 8 or 10 owls close to me...but one swooped in, under my back deck roof, where I was sitting & hit me in the head with its talons. It split my head open & I haven't played another "song" of a bird again, through my computer whilst sat outside. That one episode & all of the blood involved, was enough to tell me that it wasn't a good idea. At the time, I thought it was great, as I could hear the owls getting closer & in trees around me....but you live & learn. Some lessons are what you weren't expecting....
i like these episodes and series. hat off also to the camera team. amazing animals these wolves. they hunt together, silent and cunning and most effective. but over that wild boar, where there was plenty meat for everyone, they were fighting tooth and nail... what a waste of energy.
It took a lot of time and patient to film and document this video. I'ved just finish watching this today at 6:10 pm 04-18-2020! It's a great video love it!!!!!
"Puszta" wasn't always like this. This sandy landscape is largely due to deforestation and river controll/channeling. The Hungarian Great Plains were once a semy woody-grassy and even dampish/marsh habitat, not an asian like steppe. But in the 15th-17th centuries, during the ottoman times huge deforestation happened. Both turks and magyars chopped down huge amounts of trees to create wood-ash. Wood ash mixed with thin manure then was used to create saltpetre, which was used to create black powder. Note that this method was used until large scale nitric acid industry arrived in the late 19th century. Both christian and ottoman armys needed a huge amount of black powder for their armys, especially during long campaigns and sieges. Then, in the 19th century in Hungary, a large scale river controll started. Leaders of the country decided to regulate the Tisza river, which often flooded over humongous areas. Late consequences are the gradual desiccation and even desertification of the Kiskunsag and other parts of the "Alföld" (Great Hungarian Plains). This process is further escalated by global warming.
Do you know where i could find more information about afforestation of Alföld? I spent two months around Bugac area and saw mainly black locust and poplar plantations. Im interested why did they decide to plant those species, what makes them more suitable than other species.
beautiful the way the animals returned to nature so glad this country is protecting them not like in usa where bears and wolves being killed in their dens evil people have taken over my country
Don't give up hope. There are still some species and ecosystem recovery success stories in US. Also many dedicated people who will forever defend environmental concerns. This despite leaders who currently do not understand or respect the natural world and its significance.
I dont know where you live, but in my area we kill bears when they rip off screen doors and come inside uninvited. Or destroy our stuff, like hives. It's not bear exclusive either, you rip off my screen door and stomp into my house and see what happens to you.
Would be great without ads ...sigh also , I was watching this with my cat To calm him down bc there’s a bad storm out and he’s scared. Little did I know the video would frighten him once the storm came .. now he’s scared of Outside right now and watching this video. We watch nature documentaries all the time and he Alwyss loves seeing and hearing everything lol.
I would love to see Europe ! -never wld have thought Europe has sand hills and tumble weeds just like west Texas - Beautiful just beautiful

"I realized that nature is very peaceful. She only disturbs those who disturb themselves, but she teaches wisdom to those who admire and appreciate her beauty." ~ Sri Rama, Living With The Masters In The Himalayas.
Clearly Sri Rama never actually experienced any real nature, cause every bit of this looks like a death struggle to me.
And I know this comments a year old, but I'm just that petty.
As a city dweller this beautiful respite, thank you...
Well captured....exquisite.... Wonderfully made.
I am thankful to you to upload so much informative video. It is so amazing and to the desert animals. Thanks.

Excellent vedio
A very nice,, and good,, happy place
Beautiful documentary! It's funny that people called that turtle 🐢 a fish 🐟 🤣 😂! How did the figure that!?!
The same reason they called an octopus a "devilfish" or referred other creatures with names like starfish, jellyfish, crayfish etc.
To make it acceptable during Lent... The Catholic Church also did this with the the capybara - clearly a rodent; in South America.
Nice video I'm from Bangladesh,,,
Oooo I really love this video, it's long no advertisements, very educational and beautifully video graphed.
arnel alvarez you’re lucky bc I’m half way into it and have had 7-8 ads. So ridiculous

He calls them Mediterranean gulls at 25:10 but they're actually black headed gulls. Rookie mistake.
