@@KatsCreationsNMore what's a web site i can go to, to order mesh supplies and ribbons on line?
@@wendelladams317 You can try The Wreath Shop or Deco Exchange.
These instructions are great. Thank you for sharing your expertise. but 1 question before starting: do I wash, iron the fabric before making strips,? God bless.
You can, it depends on the look you're going for Hedie.
@@KatsCreationsNMore thanks
@@hediewiebe2128 You're welcome.
Good evening, I wanted to ask a question. I made a wealth it is a present for family members and it's one that you show on your video. One two different types. I did a 18 inch wealth a single tie on. My question is where do I get a box for a 18 inch metal wreath? 🤔⚘
Ivonne, I order mine from Amazon. Here is my Amazon affiliate link for the ones I purchase. amzn.to/34WyjjA
Hi new subbie ! Love your wreaths ! I am blessed I have found you ! 💜💜

Hi, i purchased a 14 in frame from home accents and it has 7 sections . I was listening to your tutorial again and your husband said your frame has 6 sections. I guess I just need to make it as full as i can. I already have 12 in each, i was going to add 6 more on row one. I thank you for the tutorial.
It might just be a different layout. Mine came from the Dollar Tree, so just work in what you can in each section.
I was looking at these jelly roll fabric. There is 20 pieces at 2.5”- 42” long. Could a person use this in a rag wreath. And how many rolls would it take to make a 14 wreath?
Anna, of course you can use anything that will yield you exactly what you need to make this design. Just keep in mind the thickness of the fabric and how tight you might tie you knots.
Love them both.
Thank you so much for watching and welcome Debbie!
Very nice I did a Halloween one with orange purple and black fabric
I'll bet that looks amazing!!!!
Can't wait to try this!
Would LOVE to see yours!
I know this video is old but I have a question. If your using 3 different types of material, do you do them in a pattern. Such as one color on bottom one middle one top repeatedly?
More like keeping the pattern on the same row. If they line up no worries.
@@KatsCreationsNMore thank you. I did it and it came out beautiful!
The solid color is also true for fabrics, scrapbooking, and other crafts as well. We tend to grab the prints and forget about getting basic solid colors to have on hand.
Exactly Four Little Birds!
I am new subbie, love this wreath😊
Thank you Terry. Come watch us LIVE on Fridays at 5pm PDT. facebook.com/KatsCreations777
You can buy new blades for the rotary cutter, but you can also buy a sharpener for the rotary blade. Both ca; be purchased from JoAnn’s.
I didn't realize that they had one, thank you for the tip Gloria
Love this! I have a 12" frame. How many ties per section do you think I should do? Thanks 😀
Hard to say without seeing what you have to work with but try working it a section at a time. I don't get so worked up in trying to keep my sections the same, but more along the lines of keeping it full.
I'm just now seeing your video and I have a question? On the 2nd one do you tie them on every single wire in each section or are you doing 2 wires at a time? Not sure if that makes sense
Just one wire at a time Ann.
Hello!! I came across a wreath video while looking for a different ray project. I saw these and said “I’m doing this”. I believe you were making a Christmas wreath and had a wedding one hanging on the door. I’m excited about crafting again!! Thank you for that.
By the way, I heard you guys talking about the fires. Where about do y’all live? I live in the east bay.
Oh Tricia, we live in California and this video was from 2018 when California was facing fires literally everywhere. I'm so glad you love these wreaths and they are so much fun to make.
Love the colours, really looks like fall leaves...Do they have to be perfect 1 1/2 inch? I screwed up on 3-4 strips...will it be that noticeable? Your so lucky to have such a loving supportive hubby & something you 2 can do together. Thx just subscribed.
Not at all. In fact sometimes its those small imperfections that really make it interesting and you won't notice it all all on the finished product, TSAM333
Watching replay 8/10
Thank you so much for joining JoAnn!
Here's a little hit: when you get close to the end, tie some ribbon, twist tie, or pipe cleaner and tie it to the beginning of the wreath, around all sections and tie that off. This will keep it from running together, while finishing the wreath.
Great tip T! Thanks.
We dropped Frontier because of the ongoing issues. Just to be curious were are you located
In Southern California and will be switching as soon as we can. We loved Verizon, but they sold out to Frontier
Are small prints better than bolder, larger ones? Do you use the wire edged ribbons for your bows? Loved your two different styles!
I try to find things that will go well with the design I have in mind. Sometimes smaller prints work well so you don't loose a lot of the detail. Bigger prints might work if you're simply looking for bold colors instead of a print or pattern per say. I usually use only wired ribbons if I can find them first, but have used non wired as well Sue!
Really GREAT !!!! THANK YOU !!! XXX

Love having you join us.
Beautiful, you were having problems with the rotary cutter, it looked like the screw was loose, causing the blade to wobble.
I've been tightening them when they are loose, but the blades don't seem to last as long as they should.
I did that with shades of pink on a heart wreath for valentines
Sorry I forgot it was done with tulle
Nancy, I bet it looks gorgeous!
How long and wide are the STRIPS for a 12 Inch wire wreath?? Does anyone know?
Jackie, the 1.5 inch by 7-inch strips will work, you will just need less of them depending on your method you are using to create the wreath
Hi Kat, Karen here, loved your tutorial, how much material did it take to make the second wreath? Going to have to try one of these!
It took me almost 6 yards on the second one!
On the first wreath do you use a square knot? Love the wreath! Thank you
Yes you do!
Huh. We call it down the hill where I live. Are you near Apple Valley?
Victorville. We should get together!
Watching this video, I know its old, did you say you cant sell the rag wreath in ur Etsy shop. So you cant sell any kind of rag wreath online? Why?
Angie, yes you can sell any product in Etsy as long as its not a trademark, licensed or copyrighted one, meaning does it contain a sign, embellishment or print that you would have to acquire a license to sell it in your shop.
How much material and what size do you cute
Norma, the first wreath only uses 2 yards of fabric while the second one uses 6 yards. the strips are cut 1 1/2 inches wide and 8 to 9 inches long.
love ya but really wish you would video overhead and just video your hands without your distracting cutting mat. Your a really good teacher. thanks for making these videos.
Thanks for the feedback. This is the view that you are suggesting that my private group members get. For the public group we want to show everything so you don't miss out on some of the elements of the design.

I think your blade is loose and dull.
Might be, I've changed it several times. It shouldn't be dulling that quickly!
