yeah it's definitely not enough to add the flashing lights/seizure warning at the bottom of the description for this one, I literally couldn't watch this video as it triggers migraines for me.

Agreed, the game overuses the flashing, I tried it on my pc and it's worse somehow. And not even sure why the heck it uses those flashes, it just makes it annoying.

When Black Snake brings that when people only remember you to criticize you, he legit has to be referring to the people over the years who only brought up Mario 2 to negatively review it. Well, not me, I love with Mario 2 with a passion. And since there's this incredible creepypasta fan game that exists for it, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. 😌

Mario 2 was originally Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic in Japan and instead of the Mario characters, it was an Arabic(or Hindu or whatever they are) family known as Imajin

Honestly, I'm liking this kind of "exe" games with actual gameplay that aren't just jumpscares every 5 seconds. I haven't played it but I can tell the author took the effort to make the controls smooth. The part where Luigi is being attacked by the Phantos and the hearts started shattering genuinely terrified me.
Same, reminds me of the pacman creepypasta game that is also a game, spooky and has some ideas on the gameplay for it.
I'd take jumpscares instead of the fucking strobes.
So yeah, you get the bad ending for not finding and collecting ALL the big hearts from the ghosts of the family

Rather silly, but I appreciate the attempt to make something cool and original with Mario 2. Bonus points for Peach being the primary protagonist.

This is an interesting SMB2 creepypasta game...
The gameplay is pretty fun (w/ minigames & having to find secret items to get a certain ending) & the music choice is good too!
The lore/story in this game is also interesting, although that ending seems like a cliffhanger to me (Maybe more will be added soon?)
Overall, I really like this game :)

I guess mario had a nightmare
This game has some pretty interesting concepts but overall just kind of falls into the same creepypasta pitfalls of old. Unnecessary gore for shock value, generic OP antagonist, forced jumpscares, hallways of nothingness, seizure lights, pointless fourth wall breaks, etc.
Like please tell me why they reference Sonic.exe in Toad’s first section. I saw all of the killed enemies and my first thought was “DEAD ANIMALS WHO COULDVE DONE THIS!!!” It was kind of ironically funny and I thought it was a coincidence, and then they did the whole “walk up behind the villain and they turn around and do spooky thing” cliche. Killed my immersion immediately.
(Random notes I added while watching:)
-I don’t wanna criticize the art, but uh… the large Peach sprite when she encounters Playhide looks really bad. Also that bit where she asks him why he’s a recolored Cobrat feels like an admission that Playhide is his OC from fifth grade.
-I’m gonna assume the part in the red void where Playhide talks to another entity is a reference to another game or something.
-Also, wow the quiz came out of nowhere. Really feels like they just threw it in because they wanted to without considering tone and pacing. Even the other two games you play with Playhide have an air of unease to them.
-PLEASE stop referencing other creepypastas for no reason. It wasn’t clever when you did it with the bloody hedgehog and it still isn’t with the I Hate You mention.
-WHY DOES THE SNAKE LOOK AT THE PLAYER AND THEN THE WORST SEIZURE LIGHTS IN THE GAME HAPPEN. IM STARTING TO THINK THE ANNOYING FLASHING IS INTENTIONAL. PLEASE GOD MAKE IT STOP.
-Ok to stop this comment from getting too negative, the vase from the SMB2 ending being broken is actually pretty cool. Feels like an “oh crap” moment that DOESN’T go over the top.
-The Wart fight is also pretty good. Normally I would complain about the reversed music being lazy, but since it’s the only reversed song in the game it feels like a deliberate stylistic choice. Fits the scene surprisingly well.
-Ok, I take it back. The Playhide chase has the worst flashing in the game. I wonder if the devs have ever heard of epilepsy. Or you know, have eyes. Because this hurts mine.
-ok REALLY minor nitpick but it would’ve been so cool if the SMB2 credits theme started playing when the Doki Doki Panic cast showed up during the ending
-actually now that I think about it a lot of scenes could’ve used some music. Eerie silence gets a little repetitive after a few conversations.

Ok this game is a little worse then I thought. This was my first time watching the an entire playthrough of it and I just kept getting disappointed over and over again. This is probably the devs’ first major project though so I do feel kind of bad for slamming it so hard. All I want to say to them is that there are some important lessons to be learned for next time, and to wish them luck on whatever they choose to do next. The flashing lights are inexcusable though, there’s a reason games stopped doing that.
The person who made this is a guy for one, & also yeah you summed it up VERY well, it sucks too! "Play hide" has a very good design [though tbh he's only really creepy when the transforms] though he's too cutey for me to take him as a "major antagonist" I kind of just wanted to hug him every time I saw him. This is a VERY cliche fan game though & what's with all the passwords?! The ending is shit, nothing more nothing less, no payoff what so ever just an ANTI [get it?]climatic ending. This was disappointing, but the new music was great at least!

@@johnvalle0130 I think they don’t mean it literally. Torture P#rn is used to descibe movies, games you name it, that main focus is how many ways characters can be tortured. Most of the time that’s the only thing they have and thats where the nickname is from. I don’t know if this is necessary, but most of the once I have saw, that can have that name, also has really bloody and over the top killing scenes. Like to the point that they are just… discusting. Idk If I explained that very well, english isn’t my first language.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the Anti is controlled by Playhide.
This sentient glitch snake has controlled Birdo, Mouser, Clawgrip, Tryclyde, and even _Wart_-so who's to say that Play didn't just kill and control a random Ostro?
Speaking of Playhide: He can not only speak to you-the actual player-through the screen, but is also getting intel on the characters' whereabouts from _another_ sentient pack of hacks who we never see or hear anything about until a cutscene at 56:24. Even furthermore, this other glitch talks about Peach being able to pull something off, but that they doubt it'd happen. So they *_KNOW_* there's some kind of route where Peach could get out, but they don't inform Play about this at all? And this is a conversation that Peach coincidentally overhears the start of? This is a sentient piece of code that can rewrite this entire ROM into his playground, but Play left this secret red corruption door accessible(even if it's kinda difficult)?
Something I really wonder though is what Playhide's going to do with this Anti shtick?
Is it just to lure Peach into a fall sense of security?
Or maybe Peach lives her days like the Imajin, Mama, and Papa sprites: Still and Powerless, there to lead heroes to dreams they'll never attain. When Peach becomes one with Lina, she isn't going to be able to help anyone, she's powerless in her invincibility-and negotiation only works if Play's willing to talk too, which he might just... not. No one'll remember her, except for Play, because he'd be getting what he wants, for Peach to learn the purposeless, lonely, chastised isolation he's felt for years.
Or perhaps: Playhide is trying something different, trying to be a hero for other characters who're helpless at the power of game bugs like him to feel a taste of that adoration that the Mario Bros. and other famous icons feel in their beloved glory? And maybe even Mario, Luigi, and Toad are forgotten by Play as he further and further dons the role of Anti, leaving them to rot in loneliness while he gets to be a hero with Peach in other games, helping other games' characters strive and survive... all while the Mario Bros. and their Mushroom buddy learn the cold isolation Playhide's felt for decades. Or perhaps he won't leave them to suffer down there, he'll grow as a person, and he'll let Toad and the Brothers go... who knows.
Honestly, whichever way @mosaicarts828 goes with Playhide's Anti stuff, I can't wait to see it. Some of the writing is kinda silly-but I feel like it's because he's setting up the childish Playhide to grow up somehow. It's fascinating how these subtle bits all come together.
Isn't the guy Playhide is talking to at 56:24 implied to be the one Anti rescued the Doki Doki Panic characters from? Anti directly mentions that the characters were controlled by another being and Anti was sure that Playhide was in cahoots with that guy.
And then not telling Playhide about the possibilities of Anti getting Peach under his protection doesn't really reinforce the argument if the entity Playhide is talking to is implied to be partners/friends/both with him because then he'd be sabotaging someone with similar powers for his own gain. Which does sound like what he'd do, but that's a way higher target than the regular ROM characters - is it really worth the risk?
It's also entirely possible that the corruption door is accessible because it was recently opened. Playhide is cocky and, well, playful, he doesn't think that his puppets would be smart enough to get into a correspondence door he opens for like 5-10 minutes and then closes it all up. This also ties in to why that other being didn't tell him about Anti interfering - like Playhide with the door, he also doubted that Anti would be able to communicate with the characters who also would have to go out of their way to find the Doki Doki Panic characters
I personally think Anti is different because of the implications - Playhide would simply be taking a risk too big for himself if that other being finds out he's being sabotaged

Interesting ideas that aren't played with. Evil Spirit wants to be friendly with me? Said Spirit is using his knowledge of the game to alter it for me as a game designer? Way more interesting than focusin on the characters... but you can still do both. This doesn't which I find disappointing.

How is this .exe game scary? To be honest, this is the most by the numbers, cookie-cutter, .exe game I have ever seen. Everything beat for beat is played here. The glitchy graphics, the "hyper realistic blood", the long hallways full of absolute nothing happening to build up tension, and the whole story of innocent game characters being put in a psychological horror atmosphere. It's not scary. It's just boring. I predicted every jumpscare to transpire and every moment in which the "big bad" appears. And really? Are you kidding me? The bullet snake? Of all the enemies you use, you choose the goddamn bullet snake?
I don't mean to really tear this apart, because I know effort is put into this, but there's gotta be a point where the whole .exe shtick should be in the backburner and do something completely different.
Not all creepypastas are supposed to be scary. This is just for you to focus on the plot and most likely feel dread instead of expecting an "ahh scawy red eye monster screamer" monster. And be grateful they didn't choose Mario to be the .exe.
This on its own is very different from every .exe game I see this far, and already made me feel inspired by it.

Here my written Creepypasta. Inspired by Squidward’s Suicide and Dead Bart. Except for my hatred over Lisa Simpson for being annoying. I know it maybe crap but I don’t care, I like it. And let’s just say it’s a deleted alternate scene from the episode “Lisa’s Pony”

Lisa's reed is broken, Homer couldn't get her new reed on time for the talent show because he was busy drinking at Moe's Tavern. She plays lousy, everybody booed at her(including her own family which is nothing like them at all! Especially when Homer arrived in late to bring her the new reed) and they all have hyper-realistic eyes except for Lisa.
Principal Skinner interrupted, "That will do." "It's not my fault.
It's the reed." Lisa pleaded. But Skinner doesn't care and said, "Oh, yes, of course. It's the reed." He announced the audience, "Let's hear it for Lisa Simpson and her wacky sax."
Everyone resume to booing including her own family.
Then later as she got back home and into her own bedroom all alone in the dark, she sit on her own bed, looks down on the floor sadly and blinks for about 30 seconds.
Suddenly she cries and cries non-stop, you'll hear the sound of a strong wind blowing through the trees in the forest, mixed in with that song "Kill Yourself" from the video game soundtrack, Cry of Fear, playing throughout the scene, subliminal morbid pictures of bloody and scary and disturbing pictures(like Creepypasta characters, dead people, dead children,etc.) flashes randomly on screen for about a second as she keeps on crying and crying. But then few moments later when she is still crying in the dark, the windy sound gets higher and stronger sounding as if a severe storm was coming(no thunder though). You'll also hear either a man or a woman either crying softly or laughing maniacally yet softly.
Lastly, as Lisa still cries, her tears suddenly turns into realistic looking blood. Blood, blood everywhere from her eye sockets onto her face and hands! She then stops crying as she lowers her arms down, you'll see her eyes are now big and hyper-realistic, overly-bloodshot red eyes dripping blood from it.
Lisa was so fucking miserable, she decided that she would end it all because no one listens to her knowledge and preachings, no one understands her or her point of view, and she lives with a very dysfunctional family. She grabs her jump rope, climbs up to her vanity desk stool, then to her vanity desktop. She sees a loose nail on a ceiling which is hammered in entirely but crookedly. She ties up her jump rope into a noose, ties the other end around a tough loose nail and finally CRACK! She hangs herself dead with a sinister grin on her face and eyeballs popped out from her sockets and her sockets now becomes a hyper-realistic bloody fountain. Then you'll also hear the sound of Vincent Price's laughter.
So that is the end of Lisa Simpson.

Ya’ll this is fcking amazing! I never thought Mosaicarts would make such an impactful masterpiece like this for a creepypasta. Especially a Non-Mario.EXE game that involves Peach as the main character, this one is absolutely 10/10 hard work! The Nitro-Color Demonic Wart fight and the Super Hardest Subcon.FDS Final Form Peach Escape are the best ones hands down! @Flook611 I also figured out what the four colored hearts were meant to require for Peach to do with the four colored gates in your previous video of this. I knew the fact there would be something of a possible good ending here(Kinda😅)❤️💚💙🩷
