@@kushalpsv the character involved in the song has same VA as nahida (similar traits as well, short but old), but basically in the event story players tried saving her from being assassinated by going back in time multiple times but fails miserably every single time, this song was like the ED of the event
@@ohhimark9974 the problem is that they save her in the end (like in Steins;Gate btw). Idk why everyone feel sad from this, the story has a sort of happy ending.
I JUST REALIZED
in the lyrics, when theresa sang "wasurete boku no koto wo" at the scene when nahida kneeled to the ground and cried after erasing rukkhadevata, really hits me
it was right after the moment rukkhadevata was erased, and "wasurete boku no koto wo" means "please forget about me". Rukkhadevata's wish is to be forgotten by the world.

@@MrMichelangelo nope ei quest is rushed and generic she changed character so fast for no reason at all.
This was the first time I was really emotional in Genshin. Ei saying "Goodbye Makoto" moved me. Many of the events (especially Lantern Rite) where beautiful. But this was the first time I really became emotional and felt my eyes wetting.
My first time being in actual tears over Genshin was when the looped Subzeruz was fully revealed and even the traveler was ready to punch some faces. Couldnt hit any of the emerites with ganyu because my sight was blurry as heck XD
But this scene... dear god. This one hit hard.
You managed to improve this scene totally and made me feel the loss of Rukkhadevata. Thank you, Rawfler!
Nah. Kukkhadevata's touching final speech and the soundtrack "For Riddles, For Wonders" that really marked the scene was replaced by a random song that who knows where it came from. It just feels disconnected.

The saddest thing is that only the Traveler remembers Rukhadevata. It actually made me cry silently.

It was actually from Honkai Gakuen 2. It's Theresa's theme and describes her sadness after the death of Cecilia. Later, MiHoYo reused it for "The Day You Vanished with the Stars" event.

I was listening to this when I doing the Archon Quest, then this scene happen and I was like this is the most fitting song to use here
A lot of the feels moments in Genshin seem to get more feels when a fitting Honkai music plays in the scene.
The song was already playing in my head before I clicked the video. I knew it, and it still made me tear up. dammit.
I love the parallels on how they had to erase themselves from their world to save the ones they love.

Damn it. To think it would fit with just putting the song there..... Hoyo definitely knew this was gonna happen.
To those who missed the context:
- The song is from Honkai (Houkai Gakuen and HI3). In HI3, it was used in one of the most saddest and most loved events in the game which is "The Day you Vanished with the Stars"
- In the event, the character that was highlighted was Zhuge Kongming whose character is based off Theresa Apocalypse. And since Nahida is also based off Theresa...... well you get the point. (The similarities doesn't end there. VA, color schemes, and even their personality is pretty much the same, hence the joke)

@@pixadragon46 I was about to lose it when Otto fell. Like, I didn't hate him, to begin with. I always thought there was something more than what we witness (same goes for Kevin, I'm pretty sure he's more complex than what we thought, after living 50k years). So, when Otto fell, I fell as well. The only time I grieved even more when playing both Honkai and Genshin, is when we said farewell to the flamechasers. "Because of you" hit me really hard. At least you save Kongming, and Otto didn't go out without accomplishing his goal. Su passed relatively calm, Hua and Kevin are still there, but Sakura? Pardo? Eden? Aponia? Kalpas? Kosma? Vill-V? Ely-freaking-sia? Details like those are the ones that make these soundtracks hit even more.

Why was this song made by the way? Did theresa die in honkai?
the original ggz version simbolizes theresa's feeling about losing cecilia at the end of the second eruption(Cecilia choose to die holding sirin in her arms to let the girl feel a bit of love before die in a nuclear carpet bombing.)
the Honkai version simbolizes Captain's(the player 'persona' in honkai) despair when relentless travels back in the time to prevent Kongming's death, but 'that world' itself was rejecting kongming, and she died again and again(like subarus purgatory in re-zero)
The only way to save kongming was 'taking her away' of that world, so, also kongming lost her loved ones, not being allowed to go back and even say any form of good bye to them or tell what was happening.
So, that was a event when theresa died... alot.

These ones belongs to the 'captainverse' history
Theresa, while have her 'regular' battlesuits(Valkyrie pledge, Sakuno Rondo, Twilight Paladin and celestial hymn), also have 2 versions( Luna Kindred and Starlit Astrologues) that belongs to another worlds
Rita's Fallen Rosemary also belongs to another universe.
Asuka, Dark Bolt Jounin(Yae KASUMI), Sin Hunter(kallen), Ai Hyperion, Fischl, and 'kinda' that Sweet Spicy(carole) also don't belongs to 'our universe' or at least, our 'actual time'.
Fervent Tempo(Rosalya), Hawk of the Fog(fu hua), Fleurs du Mal(Bronya), and the list goes.
So, in Kongming(starlit astrololges) situation, she isn't 'our theresa', but resembles her.
