"make your decision and don't you dare think twice go with your instincts along with some bad advice" That reminds me of my ex, who was a christian, but just gave into the world... Lost me in the process.
This song is so hardcore. It's one of those rock songs that I actually like. I'm usually not a big fan of screaming in songs, but when they scream, it has emotion. It isn't scary or extreme. It's heartfelt and has meaning. This is DEFINATLY the best song ever.
this song has been more relevant to me than any other song in my entire life. relient k has been there for me since 2005 when i started listening to them
No exaggeration Relient K's songs are the soundtrack of my life. This song was actually playing while my ex and I were in the middle of some serious break up argument. I mean it's perfect! And "Over Thinking" was the first song lyrics my ex gave me.
all of you reliant k fans who first heard them when you were very young.....i have this to say.....we all felt (even if we didntunderstand it at the time) that this music was speaking a truth that can never be debunked.....now look at the world and look at yourself and you start to see that these lyrics go so much deeper, they reach ourvery soul.....that is because this is truly gods word
I just recently lost a 'friend' & this song reminds me of him (except for the hand holding, black eyes, & still loving them). It doesn't hurt anymore, I actually feel free. I'm glad Relient K understands how me and my other friends (my TRUE friends) are feeling about the one we lost.
@MrToddybrun i remember listening to them when i was little and just liking their hits just cause they were good songs. but after listening to all of their music they have some of the most therapeutic lyrics i have ever heard. they apply to so many different parts of my life in so many different ways
I love the way they have this album laid out, let it all out comes right after this song and i think its a beautiful transition, after listening to this song go look up Let It All Out its on the same album as this!
Me and my ex (?) friend are going through and weird time and suddenly i heard this on pandora and well it explains how I'm feeling toward him right now.
also, "and wisdom always chooses these black eyes and these bruises over the heart ache that they say never completly goes away" I think hes saying that wise people choose any physical pain over heart ache. I'm sure he doesnt mean that though. lol love is a good thing!
i know they r very versitile i just saw them on july 1 & they were rapping and it was AWESOME it wasnt their song it was distance by cake but they did it very very well
I might be wrong for this, but since he's signed in, I"m doing it anyways......this song was totally his feelings about his ex-wife (and for that I'm sad, he is my best friend, and she also a close friend because of that) but I remember car rides with him where he would blast this song....months later I experienced the same loss.....aw shit...I'm drunk and telling my story...play on relient K!!!
lol that's what i love about Relient K, because they don't need to curse to get a point a cross and well they're Christian of course! And I'm glad you have favorited my video! Thanks for the comment =D
Love stages are pretty weird... 4 days ago I was just like this song 'I love you, but hate you' ._. And now I am just like 'I ACHE FOR YOU RIGHT NOW!' DX ........................ Love is bipolar.
haha, i love this song.! my best friend dedicated this to me and my ex because all we do is fight and he always blames me for it. but it's whatever. lol. i don't really care about people who fuck me over like he did.:] great vid btw.!:D
@iamcaptainshekirk I mean lets not argue about it? Music is music no matter who its for and we shouldnt really bring conterversal topics into it unless we are the singers themselves
@MrToddybrun How is this "God's Word"? It's obviously a song about a complicated relationship between two people. By the way, you spelled Relient K wrong. What a fan.
This song is dedicated to Katy Perry :) I think it's funny :) They dated before she became the Katy Perry we know today. She used to be a Pastor's daughter and her and Matthew Thiessen even wrote a song together but now they're broken up and I bet they don't even talk anymore. I think Matt is over her now haha
@epinucloe it was a joke, dude...because, he/she said "Relient K keeps getting out of my bed every morning" which is obviously a typo but missing the "Me" that I'm supposing should be in there, it makes the statement a bit perverse
@thefamousartist7 i dont know the full situation, and if you want to tell me, do so, but from the info you gave, i say talk to him, get his side, and tell him yours, and dont be afraid to cry, it takes a stronger person to find those who hurt them, and talk to them crying, than to sit in there own pain while the other can be trying to be strong and find you and talk it out again, if you want to tell me the whole story, im here to listen, if not,at least talk to your bro, you wont regret it
no wat hes trying to say is like lets get over it or we'll get rid of us being together so like he said wich to burry the hachet wich id the problem or us wich is their relationship u know wat i mean now?
I think that the screaming is necessary- or at least understandable. I mean seriously, this guy is seriously frustrated, of course he's going to feel the need to vent. Besides, if you think about, what he's screaming could have totally been lyrics. Maybe they just didn't have room for them, so they came up with this creative way to keep them in the song...
"make your decision and don't you dare think twice go with your instincts along with some bad advice" That reminds me of my ex, who was a christian, but just gave into the world... Lost me in the process.

pure musical genius, right there.
No exaggeration Relient K's songs are the soundtrack of my life. This song was actually playing while my ex and I were in the middle of some serious break up argument. I mean it's perfect! And "Over Thinking" was the first song lyrics my ex gave me.
This song is one of the best songs ever made if not the best.. Whole things good but when you hit 2:49 it fills me with nuggets of joy.
all of you reliant k fans who first heard them when you were very young.....i have this to say.....we all felt (even if we didntunderstand it at the time) that this music was speaking a truth that can never be debunked.....now look at the world and look at yourself and you start to see that these lyrics go so much deeper, they reach ourvery soul.....that is because this is truly gods word

The guy doing the screamed vocals is from the Christian Metal band The Showdown
oohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok i kinda get it now
Haha it's like that. I went by the lyrics of the cd, unless the cd was like defected or something. They change it every line. =) Good question though!

@iamcaptainshekirk I mean lets not argue about it? Music is music no matter who its for and we shouldnt really bring conterversal topics into it unless we are the singers themselves
Reminds me of the Anime "Vampire Knight" dont know why. :)
dude, peel out is like, when you slam on the pedal and skid for a second then your car goes, thats why she would "peel out and drive away"
i think so 2. and I think Relient K is great, I like it. Thanks for the comment
When I was younger, I used to think "These black eyes and these bruises" was These black GUYS and these bruises. xD Oh man... What a tard I was.
@MrToddybrun How is this "God's Word"? It's obviously a song about a complicated relationship between two people. By the way, you spelled Relient K wrong. What a fan.

Lol I think the same exact thing. They DO equal awesomness (I don't know if that's a word, but that's okay!) Thanks for the comment! =D
@Thecookiemonster138 I know how you feel. Ithappens to me with a lot of songs. Try mending your relationship with your friend.
Am I the only one who hears this song and thinks of siblings fighting instead of boyfriends & girlfriends fighting?
That actually makes me see this song on an even deeper level.
0:29 is def pull out
@Witchling413 God deserves to. He inspired this all.
@thefamousartist7
i dont know the full situation, and if you want to tell me, do so, but from the info you gave, i say talk to him, get his side, and tell him yours, and dont be afraid to cry, it takes a stronger person to find those who hurt them, and talk to them crying, than to sit in there own pain while the other can be trying to be strong and find you and talk it out
again, if you want to tell me the whole story, im here to listen, if not,at least talk to your bro, you wont regret it
no wat hes trying to say is like lets get over it or we'll get rid of us being together so like he said wich to burry the hachet wich id the problem or us wich is their relationship u know wat i mean now?
@chantken90 Well.. one holding their grudge instead of taking their other's hand makes sense in terms of the song. xD
It may not be screamo, but it's their closest song to it. It has it's bits that are pretty close, but you're right, it isn't.
@livebyvideogames They are.
@Crazytrainrocker It's the other way around actually. One second on google will tell you that.
I think that the screaming is necessary- or at least understandable. I mean seriously, this guy is seriously frustrated, of course he's going to feel the need to vent.
