Very nice. I have the exact watch, I wanted one a long time and finally got one. Mine was in very good condition but now I'd like to freshen it up and renew the glowing parts, but I like it so much I really don't want to pull it down. My band snapped this week so I'll source a new one of those and I think I will just treat myself for my birthday and buy a fully modded one with all the parts and colours I want, so I can leave my favourite watch alone. These never look out of date, and there are still manufacturers copying this design, I saw a new Pulsar that was almost an exact replica of these. Great job, beautiful watch, great taste!
great work I love this watch I have 6309 729A model but unfortunately I lost its bezel I have searched alot but failed to find it I would love to restore it too any help would be appreciated
I have a seiko 6309 7150 the movement is perfectly fine but I want to change the dial, case, crystal and chain with that of 6309 729a is that possible.
You done a great job on that watch looks as if it has another 20 -30yrs of time keeping, you must be a very calm and patient guy cos it looked crazy the scale of the fitting minute. I have a restored 6309 7290 which has a problem in that the crown screws down but if you screw to much it pop's open again do you think if I get a new crown it would solve this problem or is the tread gone on the case? I wear it every day and swim all year round with it. Anyway best of luck keep up the good work. Cliff
Hi Cliff It could be the thread and it could be the crown. Try to fit the crown on another watch if you can to see where the problem is. Good luck and thanks
I gotta be honest.. Nice work, but for me it would have been best to leave it alone besides changing the gaskets/movement service .. that beat bezel is/was excellent!!
hi, you need many tools and more than tools you need knowledge. i got mine from time zone watch school i did 2 courses which gave me the bases to do what i did, they also instruct you what to buy. good luck
Excellent work, Do not mind the other comments. I am sure that watch looks very dandy now and will not be shameful to show around. Great video!
Great job! The final product looks awesome

Hi
Personally, I would have cleaned and serviced the watch and kept it all original.
Aftermarket parts are pretty poor copies.
Good demo.

Great work! hows the accuracy of the movement keeping after so many years?

I want to try this. What tools did you use?
Paul McCartney singing while you are busy assembling.
How to restore the fading fonts on the dial ?

i have exactly the same watch..
i cant find a good replacement for my strap
Try a nato or jubilee
Did you have any problems in getting new parts? I give you a lot of credit in refurbishing you watch.
What could go wrong with a McCartney song?
should have put back the original dial, hands and bezel insert
