    I don’t understand why there aren’t more channels like this. In sports like mountain biking there are a million high quality POV channels. Glad I found this, subscribed.

    What I like about this kind of video is it gives people who haven't skied there before an idea what the run actually looks like, so you don't get any nasty surprises. Once I've progressed from beginner to intermediate, I'll do that run myself.

    There's actually no way to go from the top of Piz Val Gronda down to Ischgl in one go, so you had to take one of the chairlifts ;)

    definitely the best resort in the world and absolutely my favourite. The best way to ski from top to bottom is from the top of idalp (2700m) direct to the village. you did from Piz Valgronda, landscape is nice but you have a lot of flat parts as shown in the video. Anyway, beautoful channel and videos, take a look at mines if you want and, maybe, see yoou for some beers and slopes in Ischgl or somewhere else in the alps !

    Question, what are those little huts dotted around the slopes? Are they first aid or rest stops? Curious.

    • @Alexskiing
      @Alexskiing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Carmin thanks for your kind words! Is there a particular time in the video you are referring to? If the huts are lower down the mountain they are more lickly to be related to farming in the summer. 👍

    • @Statek63
      @Statek63 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The smallest solitary windowless huts highher up in the mountains are mostly old shepherd's huts. These small huts standing next to bigger houses or farms are mostly farmer's storage for hay, firewood and so on... The more modern looking huts with windows, verandas etc might be private skiing retreats/vacation houses.

    Shame you didn't show the complete valley run (red 1), as it's 17km from top to bottom and quite varied. On another note, I always knew my beloved Ischgl was done for once I saw the first SCGB rep there and the Russians started arriving en mass. Once upon a time you could ski there on a reasonable budget, though it's much harder to do these days, due mainly to the demise of so many of the cheaper guest houses. Great aprés, restaurants and bars in the village, which still retains much of its Tyrolean ambiance and charm.

    You really need to adjust your speed indicator. It's pretty inflated.

  • @piotrcharvelmajka
    @piotrcharvelmajka 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Speedometer lives its life :) Unfortunately, but the measurement of speed with GPS where the altitude also changes is completely inaccurate

    • @Statek63
      @Statek63 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What do you mean by "completely innacurate" ? Btw. in English you would rather say "speedometer has a mind on it's own" ;-) Verbatim translation of idioms rarely makes sense :D

  • @djscottdog1

    that red at 1426 looks steep on camera i imagine it is in that case very steep

    • @davesmulders3931
      @davesmulders3931 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it used to be a black run, but the bar he passed just before (Paznauner Thaya) is very popular for apres ski and then no lifts are running anymore. So to encourage people to stay at the bar they labelled the descent a red piste. Actually if you go left at the signs just before, there is a little detour that's a bit less steep but normally at the end of the day full of crashed drunk people :)

      Zell am see is a really great place. The run right into the town is interesting as it’s classed as black but everyone uses it. Gets quite tricky.

    good channel. that run tho is hardly worth it. all the flats and pushing. its a 'oncer' only. do it once and never again. i like the 2000m drop in Les Arc, (3200m --> 1200m) from Aguille Rouge all the way down to Villaroger. Black and Reds runs the whole way. no pushing there.
