Wonderful coordination and unison! The person that said she doesn't follow is crazy! It is much more difficult for the woman BECAUSE she is not leading. Great performance! I would love to watch you in person.
Beautiful, unflashy, rhythmical, connected, a real dance. I get bored of all the high kicks and ganchos you see so often, this is really about two people connecting with each other and the music. My favourite tango video.
Hi! Actually you are absolutely right, and to add more this performance was the 3rd performance that we did togheter on 2006 so it had not even one movement choreographed.=) That is the beauty of this dance! Thank you for all the nice words!
Until now there were Cappussio and Flores, which I admired and adored. Now to my favorits belong also El Flaco and Luna. They are fantastic, they are marvellous. A lot of thanks of posting them.
Watching this makes me want to learn how to dance like that. The fact the man is older and so accomplished and woman so gorgeous just makes it all the more wonderful. Can watch it over and over. And what great music!
I keep on coming back to this video every few months or so and love it more every single time. The rhythm, connection and absolute enjoyment of the dance shine through. Thank you to the dancers
They are in Buenos Aires. I went there to dance some years ago - best time of my life. I danced 33 hours in my first three days, barely stopping to eat. In the next weeks on Mon, Weds and Friday I would go to the Cafeteria Ideal from 3-9pm and then on Tues and Thurs I would hit La Pavadita from 2-6pm, and on Fridays I would go to Club Gricel from 10pm-1am. I used to be asked to dance by men between 50-75 years of age and never wanted for any dances - ever. It was hilarious actually, because at one point two other girls from Europe arrived (the only other two there apart from me and my friend, Michelle at the time) and they had two young dutch chaps with them. One of them stood up, bowed to me and said 'would you give a younger man a chance?'. It was all so charming and I am so pleased I experienced this moment in time. It was like a bygone era, and yet it still exists. They were flattered that a British woman had gone to the trouble to learn the danceform, and one day, when a short local man asked me to dance - he was around 60 years old - we started to riff, and really expand the dance. The music was a wonderful track called El Corazon D'oro, a waltz, which is my favourite dance. He started doing a move that took me all around the edge of the dancefloor - which I just found so dreamy there. I was completely in love with the whole place, the music and the people. As he spun me around in this wonderful swirling movement, people started making space for us, which was lovely. And then I heard one woman seated at a table lean in to her friend as we passed and say to her with great excitment in her voice 'es la inglesa, la inglesa' - it's the English woman, the English woman. I had no idea that I had become the subject of so much interest. I still dream of those days....
Gosh! Let me know when you go again - I may want to at least Tango - shadow you (with your permission of course ). Tango has been a life changer for me !! Your story is fabulous!!
The place is Nino Bien, always on a Thursday night after 11pm. The dancer is Dani. He will dance with a woman over 30 provided she can follow him. I have danced with him every time I have been to Buenos Aires.
Go for those then Julio!! If you think is boring or dont like it,really doesnt make it crap... dont practice it and you will be all roght, also you will find a lot of what you like here in youtube, good luck! =)
I don't know how many times I've watched this piece of dancing. I love youtube and watch lots of dance & music vids here but this has to be my favourite of all. Makes me want to dance. And I'd really like to thank whoever made the video, whatever the resolution it is really well done and you can actually see the dance which is a great deal more than you can say for lots of more technically "advanced" videos. lost for words.
holy cow!!!!!! how did he do that. i have to think so much while dancing as to where to go and how to go. so fluidity. can you please upload the rest of the videos. its awesome
I love this video. I've watched it several times. I love the special moves they put into their dance. (One is around 1:30). They continue to amaze me. I also liked the tiny, circular moves they were doing at the end of the video. Thanks for uploading this.
The "showy" style, with all those figures, is what we most see on TV as Argentina tango because it is the tango de escenario (show tango). The tango de salon (close embrace) and the milonga are what people usually dance in Buenos Aires at a milonga (tango night). At least that is what I saw while spending a few months there. The World Tango Championships held annually in Buenos Aires in fact has two categories, tango de salon and tango de escenario.
going back to this again, the song will always make me think of you two's dance, because this dance introduced me to the song :P. what a fun interpretation
I love that videos of dancers made my dancers always zoom in on the feet when the couple comes close. When you see dancing on TV, they zoom in on their faces - as if we care about their make up!
I'm considering joining my local Tango class here in the UK! I love the dance. I do some folk dancing so am not a dance beginner but have stayed away from anything ballroom as I have size 13 feew that I guess would get in the way but I can at least try I suppose
The song is Tango Negro by Juan Caceres. It's not a tango, it's more candombe, a precursor to the tango of the 40's. It also has some milonga flavor. The gentleman is Dany Garcia, one of the foremost dancers of milonga ever. Abundant talent & over 50 years of dancing every day tends to get you to that level. The woman is young, because that's how he likes it and he can dance with anyone he wants. Believe me, I have heard more than one older woman complain he won't dance with woman over 30.
Wonderful coordination and unison! The person that said she doesn't follow is crazy! It is much more difficult for the woman BECAUSE she is not leading. Great performance! I would love to watch you in person.

their foot work is amazing. and i love how graceful they look

Fantastic this man can dance. Wonderful couple of dancers.❤💙💚
Hi! Actually you are absolutely right, and to add more this performance was the 3rd performance that we did togheter on 2006 so it had not even one movement choreographed.=) That is the beauty of this dance!
Thank you for all the nice words!
💖💖💖💖💖💖Love you, Luna and Dany, you are the best ones!!!!
Gresat video - they make the complex footwork look so easy ...........if only my feet would dance like this !
Until now there were Cappussio and Flores, which I admired and adored. Now to my favorits belong also El Flaco and Luna. They are fantastic, they are marvellous. A lot of thanks of posting them.
Fantastic! I saw Dani last year in Buenos Aires -- he is still in great form!
Love the music and the dance. The rhythm is almost Samba so again you can here the African roots coming out. Milongo me gusto mucho
Watching this makes me want to learn how to dance like that.
The fact the man is older and so accomplished and woman so gorgeous just makes it all the more wonderful. Can watch it over and over. And what great music!
