i keep telling our fans, that think mike out coached sean mcvay in that game 🤦🏽♂️ sean mcvay is a offensive genius. i’m not saying mike isn’t a good coach, i wanted mike macdonald instead of ben johnson, im just saying that raven vs rams game went to OT and ravens only won that game because that OT punt return. So to our fans, stop saying mike out coached sean because he didn’t, it was a battle to the end.
Thanks to an obvious block in the back that went uncalled
Blud knows ball
It was a well played game by both offenses and I say that as a Rams fan.
yall had more dudes than us....and your defense wasn't ready for some reason?
I thought I replied to this. The Ravens Defense was completely unprepared for the 11 Personnel Under Center Run game, which I think happens to be a relative weakness of Macdonald's scheme in Baltimore. As an aside, the Ravens Defense has had trouble against 11 Personnel UC Run game stuff before MacDonald's tenure as the DC, as well. McVay does a great job of "holding the chalk last", which I tried to discuss in this video. I thought McVay and the Rams did a fantastic job of setting the tone in that game, and the Ravens Defense stayed very balanced but didn't really take away anything. Tough game. Both teams put on a show. All_Hawks I might try to explore the Seahawks Nickel Defense as it relates to Macdonald's Defense in a Film Study video soon
Great video, but I don’t know how I feel about you putting a clown face on Coach Mcvay 😂
It's actually the Joker, hence the trickster angle. It's really meant to be complimentary. Thanks for checking this one out.
Mcvay was a 4 year starter and state champion wing t QB. He knows that offense inside and out, no surprise he incorporates some wing t concepts
100%. Great comment. I think I have heard or read about that somewhere, but I was unable to verify iit just now. I believe you, because the markers are there. Red/Blue is a Base 2 x 2 formation, and the width/alignment of the "Wings" (WR's) is a near-perfect match. Thank you for checking this one out.
@@all_22_films and the single back does alot of half back stuff.
They're going to be even better this year.
They ran a Philly special when they were down by a lot against the cowboys. That was part of the reason why Stafford was injured and didn't play GB
Nope. He had already banged his thumb earlier.
@@jjfordingpoursoulstudios8581 ya but that basically ended his game
@Leo-ii8nb yep. Glad they pulled him honestly. That game was long over by then. Refs had it in the bag 1/2 thru the 1st quarter.
I did not know that. Thank you for letting me know. Seems like I missed at least 2 trick plays from 2023.
In the first playoff game in 2021/2 vs Cardinals i believe Beckham threw a pass to Cam Akers.
The fucking picture is killing me LOL
Excellent analysis as always. So much good information in here I'll need to re-watch it.
Thanks. Glad you liked it. I will have more previews of the Wk 1 games as the season approaches. Ravens and Chiefs as well as the Lions vs Rams.
Yeah. Man knows his football. Cards should have made a phone call to him for a DC spot. Lol. Anyway, first time viewer. I’ll def be back for more. Great analysis, and not just because I’m a Ram’s fan.
@@crowhurd thanks for checking this one out. Working on another Rams video for next week.
Thanks for this...Rams fan...all day err day!
Great job exposing us jk! Enjoyed the video and Mcvay should be considered every year as the second best coach in the league period
Thanks for checking this one out. I might do a follow up on his favorite PA Passes. And some of the elements of the Pistol usage.
That’s a great video and analyze man I’ve been watching the mcvay offense since he got in la and you really put words on what I observed and made me understand things I couldn’t see. This being said I think mcvay is an offensive genius with no doubt excellent in making scheme elite in making game plan however when it comes to play calling I was one of the ones early in the 2023 season saying he was too inconstant. What do you think of that ? Do you Differentiate a OC capacity to make game plan a playbook and it’s capacity to call the plays ?
If it was another team with an aging injury prone QB who just lost a HOF captain and has a roster full of holes, relying on rookies to even be as good as they were last year.
They would not be getting the hype the Rams are getting because they are still trying to build the LA market. They started 3-6 and had the NFLs easiest strength of schedule from week 10, they will be lucky to be the 7th seed.
I thought the Rams were going to be a tough team to deal with in the playoffs, especially after seeing how they were able to control the ball and be at efficient against the Ravens. I think they could be similarly dangerous next season.
@@all_22_films So you're basing your opinion off what the Rams can do off one Ravens game and not 9 games they played before week 10 before other teams were dealing with late season injuries. If you like id rather look at what they did as the season as a whole.
The comment that he "calls the concept then the QB decides" whether it's 1, 2 or 3 is exactly why he was getting frustrated with Goff. Goff kept asking for McVay to tell him if it was 1, 2 or 3. McVay wants you to learn how to run by showing you how to walk, Goff wouldn't let go of his hand.
Same reason Goff does better with the Lions. Johnson's play-calling is tighter. Goff can & will call audibles *to switch **_concepts_* if he sees a defensive alignment he doesn't like, but you have to give him more than just the concept. He isn't comfortable adjusting to the details.
Same with Cousins. Both he & Goff act like they're nearly terrified when they have to improvise. I felt like Cousins was just getting over this fear 2, 3 weeks before the achilles tear. Vikings luck. Goff on the other hand still seems _very_ easily rattled which is why the Bears were one play away from sweeping them this past season. They got to him early & he stayed rattled almost all of both games.
So pass formation to run, WR as wings to block, motion and formation to nullify blitz and stunt and 11 formation to reduce variable in information collection. What else am I missing? Thank you for the excellent and hard work on behalf of TH-cam comments.
Oh I probably missed multiple aspects. I might do a follow up that focuses only on PA Passes and how and when McVay calls them. Thank you for commenting.
great breakdown
Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Excellent breakdown great video
Glad you enjoyed it
with that pic,you just made Goff's day😜🤣🤣🤣
It is meant as a compliment. McVay's Offense is very different in appearance and application from most NFL Defenses, so I was going for the Joker comparison as someone who breaks the rules and outsmarts most of the NFL while doing so.
Let me know when Goff gets a ring.
@ssway28 woaaaah now don't get that in this guy's head. They had their year last year now they'll go back to the lions of old
Awesome job coach!
Glad you liked it!
Very enjoyable
LOL that picture is uncalled for
Im goin to come back to this video when the nfl analyst got us rank #3 or even #4 they seep on the rams idk why mcvay resume speaks for himself
Thanks. They should be set up for a really good year. Lot of young guys got experience last year during their run. I expect them to be just as good if not better, for sure.
Coach, how do i get in on the Lions discord? Im a patreon member but never received the discord info
Hey, my apologies. Probably my fault for not sending you an invite. Can you send me a message on Patreon? Or via email? all22footballfilm@gmail.com
How can you even think mcvey got out coached. Lets see .1 lions higher seed 2 lions where at home 3. Nothing called on the hit on the te.4. Refees swollowed there whizzler on the puka play. 5. Never called holding when donald was held all night. Yeah mcvey was out coached give me a break . Lions looked good but needed alot of help.
Another trick play was Tutu throwing to Stafford during the Cowboys game: th-cam.com/video/9NOOp7xn-hU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Kv2BWPZKM5kx8EUo&t=21
Also, amazing breakdown. Learned a lot from this
Awesome. So there were at least two "trick plays" that I missed from 2023. Also, the aforementioned INT against the Seahawks was actually from 2023, also. So I missed one right in front of my face, or at least referred to it in the wrong year. Thank you again. Glad you enjoyed the video.
So from the pick of McVay... do you hate him... or??
It's actually meant to be complimentary. It's supposed to look like the Joker. Any interference that it's a put down or insult would be due to my own limitations in Photoshop.
💯💯💯🫡
Why would you put a clown face on McVays face?????
How disrespectful.
first ballot HOF terrible thumbnail, but the content is interesting
