Yay, that makes my heart happy! ... Also you're not a terrible sewer.. you're where you are in your sewing journey & you'll grow your skills with practice ! Thanks for watching
Whew, this one is complicated! I need to watch it again although I don’t have prominent shoulder blades. Learning from you is always rewarding. You’re a master educator! I’m also in for the flat head pins for thicker fabrics! 😘
...It was a little fussy to do the extra adjustment on top of the shoulder dart... but I think that was because the pattern pieces was so small. :) I hope you had a great Thanksgiving too! Thanks for watching and good luck!
I think this might help me as I have scoliosis although the gaping armhole is on the other side of side with my back hump. But I’m going to try the method as I always seem to have too much back armhole length even after lowering that shoulder. Love all you pattern adjustments
This looks like a great fix for prominent shoulder blades, but I ran into a problem when I tried it. Stage one of this adjustment causes the center back fold line to angle slightly inward so than the CB is no longer a straight line. Do I then realign the CB fold line so that it is straight and then redraw the neckline, shoulder and armseye to match?
:) Yes, you can make a copy of your pattern piece and use it to "True up" the CB and neckline/armhole after you make this adjustment. Here's a tutorial showing how to do this (different adjustment, but the idea is the same) th-cam.com/video/wEHV6n7H29o/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps! Thanks for fitting along with me
@@JSternDesigns Thank you for your reply. I tried the adjustment. It improved the back fit over my prominent shoulder blades quite a bit. I tried the step one-adding the 1/2” dart. It looks like I will need to go to the step two adjustment where I cut a line to the edge of the armscye and increase the adjustment a little bit more. This adjustment looks better than all of the adjustments I have tried previously. Many thanks.
You have encouraged me to sew. I’m terrible at it. It’s fun to watch you.

I have bought 5 different books on fitting and pattern manipulation and have not found something to hide a fat on lower back. Please help!!
I love a good camoflauge tutorial!! Stay Tuned ...and thanks for watching
Here I am again. The CB fold line angles outward, not inward as is written in my previous comment.
Hi again... check my response to your first comment! Thanks for watching
