Hi Mystogan84, thank you for watching the tutorial. TDE (Transparent Data Encryption) is a method used to encrypt an entire database at rest, which means that the data is encrypted before being written to disk and decrypted when read from disk. This provides an additional layer of security for protecting sensitive data in the database. The main difference between TDE and other encryption methods is that TDE operates at the file system level, making it easier to implement and manage compared to other encryption solutions. Hope this helps clarify the difference for you!
