Thanks for keeping these videos coming. I'm going through similar jobs on my 1999 Barchetta and your videos have been a great help. I had to do a Frankenstein job to merge two rear bumpers and your bumper work was useful for that. I am very envious of the rust free state of your car.
Glad you're enjoying the videos. Sometimes a repair is the only option. Replacement bumpers are so expensive, especially originals. I've seen some aftermarket ones but not sure how good the quality is. Yes, pretty much rust free, surprising really as we're right on the coast. Maybe previous owners didn't take it out when it rained? There's a bit of surface rust on the radiator support that could do with a cleanup but nothing major. Good luck with your B. The feeling of satisfaction is great when you finish a job!
Hope the brakes are ok soon. I used transparant leather creme on all leather and black plastic interior parts. Feeds it and gives a nice shine to everything.
Hopefully the new caliper is all it needs! Not sure what else it could be. Running out of ideas! Thinking of changing the colour of the leather seats as well as the repair.
Please don't put the Nardi steering-wheel on. The airbag system on the barchetta can be a real pain to fix once the car detects somethings not right. - I refurbished my original steering-wheel with black leather-color and it looks great. But as an industrial-designer i find joy in the original interior of the barchetta and i can understand it's not everybodys taste. I think we're lucky the designer didn't went as mad as he did with the Multipla.
I understand your comments about the steering wheel but will give it a try as I think it would make an interesting video. I know what you mean about the airbag light, that's going to be a challenge! I love the way the interior looks as well but it I think it benefits from a bit of colour, that's something else I'll look at. Right now I'm still having problems with the rear brake. The caliper has been changed but it's not made any difference.
