The 400 is a great bike. After many years of not riding it comfortably got me back into riding again. I owned mine for 3 years. I parted ways and now have a Ninja 1000, but I will never forget the fun I got out of the 400. I also had the same exact color you had.
I really wish you would register it in your name. I got a bill from TxTag where you went through a toll and they sent me the bill. Now it's going to be a HUGE hassle for me to deal with, because you didn't do what you were supposed to and have been riding the bike illegally.
I really like you take dude. I just bought my z 125 pro 3 days ago. First motorcycle and I'm so in love with it. I can't complain about it at all. It's perfect. Z400 is definitely going to be my next buy.
Hey I'm super interested I have been looking for a good used 400 in a color I like and I just happened to come across this. I live in MO and depending where you're located I can pick it up
Future bike of mine. New rider. I may wait till the Mk.2 comes out in the next year, depending on what improvements they make if any. If they gave the bike a proper seat from the factory, it would have put the price over the magical $5000 MSRP.
I would be very surprised if a MK II came out next year. Once Kawasaki designs a bike that sells, they tend to stick with that design for a full decade before making any significant changes to it's design. The Z125 came out in mid 2016 and we still don't have a MK II of it. The 2018 KLX250 that I daily now hasn't changed at all since 2009. The "new" KLX 300 Standard and Sumo are actually just KLX 250's that have a different bore and stroke. Same frame, same body parts, same part numbers. Also, the cost for a better seat would not have cost Kawasaki themselves more than $20 per bike in materials. It's literally just 2" of vinyl and foam.
i was thinking about z900 ...but more time goes the more i think i should get one of those so i can quench my thirst of 'givint it to it' while keeping my license. but its also able to do commute just fine. also i promised myself to stay away from 4 cyls bikes....if i could resist
Yeah the seat sucks a$$, we ride an average of 250 to 300 miles a ride. I'm about to replace mine. My top speed on my 400 is 131. I weigh 170 lbs, 5'9" tall. I love my 400, it's so fun on curvy roads. I'm all about the curves, don't really care for flat out speed. The 400 has enough power that you can ride with bigger cruisers. The riding group I'm in, they mostly ride cruisers, there is a ZX6R and Z900 that rides with us. I can't beat them on the straights, but they can't beat me in the curves. The 400 is probably my favorite bike I've owned. People laugh, until they ride with us. Then their opinion usually changes about my bike. And you are correct, the exhaust is garbage. The other thing that sucks balls, are the grips. I am really not sure why they put such horrible grips on Kawasaki bikes.
Skip past the for sale portion and get to the actual review at the 5:19 mark!

What fairings do you have on? Orange and grey ones?
Great video.....( starts looking for 4k ) Cheers! :)
Let me know if you find it!
Here in Ireland insurance is crazy, 2500 euros on my crf 250, 1050 euros on my ninja 400.
love my ninja 400, best purchase of 2020. Good all around bike, not just for beginners.
Thanks for watching!
I seen you posted this 7 months ago, and it's not marked as sold. Is this still available then?
Still have the bike I’ll buy it! I’m in search for one

This bike is fast, it’s 0-60 is quicker than my old 2016 v6 mustang and that car was decently fast.

When is tuning needed if replacing the exhaust?
If that's the only mod you're doing? Never.
Epic color on this N4
Still for sale? If so, I’m interested
I'd buy it but I live in Chico California what's the right price 🤔
Well, I'd imagine the shipping is around $500-$700

Location of the bike? Looking for my first Ninja at around that price range!
North East Texas. Might could meet you half way depending on where you are.
I’m in ATX, could probably trailer it depending how far North you are! I’ll shoot you a pm on FB!

Is it still for sale first time riding and need a bike
No sorry, it sold in the first 48 hours
Do you realize your 400 makes 3hsp less than a harley 883 .............. not bad ...............
They are actually pretty fast for what they are. I ride with a variety of bikes and most people are impressed with it's speed
Can you deliver to Georgia? :)
I can deliver anywhere for the right amount of money. Lol
Did you end up getting an Ninja 400? Just curious
Broken' in well, modded, memories and for such a great price?! Are you mad..
Corona screwed up my income pretty good. So gotta cut back on some monthly payments. The lady that bought it loves it though.
Yeah I wish my insurance was that cheap. I have this bike in Ontario Canada and as a 25 year old with a perfect driving record its $164... A month.
i like the OEM muffler ;-;
Your opinion is unpopular. Lol
