This guy left out three important points. What is the percentage of the population who are able to achieve $200K plus in their CPF after paying an entire life of mortgage loan? What if the family suddenly needs money after 65 years old, can all the remaning money be taken out without condition? Third question is what happens to the CPF money if a person passed away at 68 years or three years after taking 2K plus per month? Will the family be able to inherit the money from CPF unconditionally or is it subject to some terms? Spend less and save more right? What happens to a retiree who have grown up children. Is the retiree going to spend more and burden his grown up children or continue to save even more after retirement so as not to burden his growth up children who are also setting up their own family?

If you work with cpf contribution, you be able to acheive 200k and using houding refund to pay cash for your house and tapping the 4 percent in special account ,you be able to do that.
Empowered yourself with more information and find a consultant in cpf board to walk through this.
Cpf scheme is the best riskfree scheme.

It is better to lock up money in cpf.. If see lots of money in saving account, will feel rich to spend away the money quickly. It is human psychology. Difficult to control. I have been through it before, and I regretted.
