This helps me so much! Finally something I can learn and understand instead of thinking everyone just magically makes beautiful cards and I have no clue. Turns out it is doable when you walk through your process. Thank you for the only one doing this! And doing it so well. Feels like a kind sister encouraging me.
I'm so glad I caught this episode just in time. I love that you are so down to earth, funny, upbeat, love to teach, & take the time to teach. Hi, from Alexandria, MN. It started to snow last night into the morning. Yuck!
Another excellent and very helpful "design" tutorial! Loved your comment about trying to decide whether to add embellishments or not...I always go with my favorite motto: "When in doubt....don't". Told my kids this over the years and use it myself in all sorts of situations...works well! Thank you for doing these tutorials...we all appreciate it!
I love your design videos. I always learn so much from them. It's so helpful when you show us what works, but more importantly, what doesn't and when you explain why. Thank you so much!
Hi, Cathy. Again, thank you so much for the continuity info. That was my major problem in placement. I hope you know how much your sharing is truly appreciated. Have a lovely life!
I love what you're teaching us. I believe we are getting the benefit of your graphic design career. And I don't know any other TH-camr that is offering us this. Honestly I haven't watched you in a long time or frankly any of them in a long time but this is drawing me back. Thank you.
Excellent! Just what I needed….thanks! Would love more layout tips and tricks. I got a mystery box from PinkFresh with all kinds of cool embellishments but I could use help putting it all together.
Thank you so much for sharing your design knowledge with us. I am still learning about what makes a great design, so the extra tips and tricks are really appreciated.
Thank you for this video. You have a great teaching style. I mail cards so I either use punched out dots of gold or silver or sometimes flat sequins. Embellishments can be tricky to decide where to place.
I love these back to basic card classes! Thank you. Embellishment placement is so hard for me! My eye wants it to look random but it’s so hard to do random placement.
I know all the design elements, my degree is in family and consumer sciences. But I have really enjoyed your series on design and creativity, it is always good to refresh your knowledge! I really love this card. It’s bright, happy, and I would say perfect!
Thank you for sharing your years of knowledge and experience in graphic design as you relate it to creating cards ❤ I can spend hours and hours trying to get everything to look “right” on a card idea. I’m very aware that something isn’t quite right (ohhhhh, I wish I didn’t at times…) and being a perfectionist won’t allow me to glue until I KNOW it flows…looks right….looks finished.. Hopefully this makes sense because THEN you will understand how MUCH I appreciate your sharing with us!!❤ I’ve already realized some things that will help me !! I can apply this to the card I have sitting on my desk that I’ve been “fiddling with” fora couple of days. I rarely comment but I just had to today to let you you know how much you’re helping me… Plus….wanted to send A HUGE thank you, Cathy!!
Love and have saved the 5 tips video! Also, splurged on an Anna Griffin Empress Elite....just opened it and was going to try it out when I saw this video come up....cannot wait to try my new toy out! Watching you use it and love it so much, I decided to finally splurge.
Thank you for this video. It was very helpful to see you actually work the process…make changes, add, remove, etc. please do another of this type of video!
I struggle with designing. I can start out great and then look at the end result and think "blah". Other times I nail it and it looks gorgeous. I could never understand why some failed and others didn't. Thanks for sharing. Great tips. (just subscribed 🙂)

You are the best teacher! I *agonize" over the position of the elements and embellishments. But when it flows its pure joy!
This helps so much! Design is my greatest challenge. More please 😊
Love this video! Please keep your design teaching vids coming.

Me, too! And I am 77! I think we feel older faster when we don't learn new things anymore.
I love these back to basic card classes! Thank you. Embellishment placement is so hard for me! My eye wants it to look random but it’s so hard to do random placement.

Love these tips!
I wanted to see that youre in my thoughts on bottom right as apposed to the left. Would that have worked or is it something im missing?
Quiet house on this snowy morning in Saskatchewan. Guys are on the road for 2 hockey games today.
Hope they have safe travels!
How do you keep your glue bottle from clogging?
I use a corsage pin to close it up and it NEVER clogs!
Stick a pin in the tip! I always use Bearly Art glue and their incredible very fine tip.
This a great video, I just can’t believe you didn’t call it either “from a MESS to a YES!” or “from meh to yeah!!!” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
❤🎉😊
Rule of 3?
Sort of, yes!
@@czdesignthank you I so enjoy listening and watching you and appreciate you so much
This is so fetch. Really appreciate the time taken to show and explain about balance, unity and placement. 🫶🏼
