I really think that plot twist of August actually being Mavis's and Zeref's child instead of Larcade who was cleverly set to be the son to fool the readers and watchers is one of the most underrated plot twist that was executed brilliantly
im really sad for august he only did that because he only wanted to be love and to be embrace and his only wish and the only thing that could stop him is seeing his own mother because thats enough for him
Agreed, and upon a rewatch, it's even more sad that both his parents couldn't love him or they would kill him (which he probably knew). As OP as he was, his ending was appropriate and fitting.
For all it's faults and shortcomings (and there were a lot of them), Fairy Tail did do a few of it's twists quite well and it tied things together quite cleanly at the end.

We never saw any of the supposedly infinitely powerful charcaters actually use their full power and most of them were pretty easily defeated. Heck, END was so hyped up ever since Tartarus and then only got three seconds of screen time and was apparently on par with Gray (which I guess makes sens given that Gray is his EXACT opposite but still, a little disappointing we didn't get to see more). It wasn't fully terrible but it could've been so much better. Although I can't really blame Hiro (the creator) cause I heard he was rushed to complete the ending. At least the plot moved along nicely and they introduced very interesting characters. And there were a bunch of emotional scenes and the ending was heartwarming. The only thing that I personally have to complain about is the fight scenes.

But you clearly don’t understand why they are “highlighting family” they are trying to prove the point your friends are more family then your family actually is it isn’t about blood type end of the day. Blood treats you the worst family has your back plain and simple. Every anime has its faults.

The editing is really bad tbh. It could have represent FT in a so much better way, all that speeches being cut midway/opening and ending scenes being mixed in. I wonder if OP actually knows how video editing works.
