AraoftheFunk Yeah this video is still tuned down half a step just like the real recording, it's just kind of hard to find because it's almost like Eddie's in between an E flat and an E natural....
@@crazycooper1024 he actually is inbetween ive been trying to find answers for years but as soon as i tuned in between e and e flat it was finally in tune. There are heaps of articles and interviews with eddie where he bs's and always changes his story but truth be told most early van halen is in between

Michael Anthony has said in many interviews that most of the time Eddie made him play very simple bass lines. Eddie literally wrote them and said to him to play like that. I bet it was frustrating for MA but he was not willing to confront the band's leader, so he did was he was told to do.
