I know the outboards are every bit as fast but they just don't have that "wow "factor like the ground shaking rumble of the big Merc racing inboards. There's nothing like standing on the dock when one of those Fountain's or MTI's light off a pair of Merc 1350"s it's just incredible.
We agree! The Marine Association even provides bags and there are plenty of dumpsters available when you get off the water at every launch ramp. A Little goes a long way so anything we can do to keep the lake beautiful is greatly appreciated.
Actually, they are just here for a conference. The F.D.W.N.A. Hosts their annual symposium around this time every year. Just one of the amazing groups that visit and bring jobs and revenue to our great city. Personally, I look forward to the N.O.M.A.W ( National Organization of Meteorologists and Weathermann ) which holds there on camera extreme weather training every year during our monsoons.

Havasu is an amazing place to be...but for God sake people, pick up your trash and respect the lake.
