    I’m glad I finally know what these are for. My teachers always said “they’re important” but would never even mention any of the applications.

      i used to hate math, these crash courses are making me like it, im an animator and use these graphs all the time

    Suspended cables form a catenary or a parábola?

      A cable loaded by its own weight alone forms a catenary. On a suspension bridge, the main load comes from the road, which is a horizontally uniform load. This gives indeed a parabola.
