I said it b4 the Republicans are on the Head of the US coin and the Democrats are on the Tail. It make not one iota of difference who won the US Presidency. This coin is both minted and owned by the US Federal Reserve Banks who as part of the Deep State will governs the US of A together with Wall St banks, Pharmaceutical conglomerates, NGOs and the Military Industrial complex. Those US voters who think their votes count live in CooCooland.

Ditching the dollar is not the end of the world for the US, empires often fall internally, has been making sure everything privatized and 90% of the wealth going into the pockets of the 1% is, but dollar being ditched is certainly a key to the door of a new era for countries being bullied, squeezed and colonized for decades if not centuries.

Kenya can simply refuse to pay back the IMF loan. Then the IMF can write off the principal. That is the same thing that happens when Kenya pays off the IMF loan. It is the nature of the Fractional Reserve banking system. The IMF only books a loss on lost interest which is probably only 2 or 3% of the principal. Meanwhile, China, India, Russia or someone else can step in with fair trade, build infrastructure and create jobs for Kenyans.

The Belt and Road Initiative is essentially the United Nations without the G7. All countries are invited to join the BRI, but the G7 and their allies refused to participate because raising the standard of living for poorer countries is not in their interest. While the G7 accounts for 10% of the world population, it constitutes 60% of the global budget deficit. Western governments are isolating themselves from the majority.
Politics determines how wealth is distributed within a country, while wars and diplomacy determine how wealth is distributed between countries.
The world's richest country with the most expensive military are enjoying these benefits of their government policies: Economic inequality, inflation, stagnant real wages for the last fifty years, costly healthcare, an expensive education system, student loan debt totaling $1.7 trillion with an average balance of $38,000, poor public transportation systems, racial inequality, mass incarceration, the militarization of police, deteriorating infrastructure, housing affordability, homelessness, the opioid epidemic, and gun violence.
Instead of prioritizing the welfare of its people, the US meddles in other countries to spread its version of democracy. The question is whether the USA can continue to survive with its version of democracy, not whether it can have any leadership role in the global order.
The 'Arsenal of Democracy' produces 40 percent of the world's weapons. It is a very profitable business model in which other countries buy these weapons to fight each other. The key is maximizing profits without shedding US blood by inducing conflicts between and within countries outside the USA. One client is eager to spend AUD 368 billion to buy a few high-quality used nuclear-powered submarines. This business model's critical components are NATO, QUAD, ANZUS, Five Eyes, AUKUS, and MCC (Mutual Cross-Service Agreement).
Anywhere in the world, if there is a border dispute, it is usually the result of a line drawn by an Englishman; if it is an internal dispute, it is usually the US fueling it. Difference in implementation of divide and conquer strategy.
Since WWII, the United States has started 201 wars, overthrew 36 foreign leaders, killed or attempted to kill 50, dropped bombs in 30 countries, and interfered in 86 foreign elections. To make the world safe for democracy, the US has caused the deaths of tens of millions of people in its conflicts in Korea, Vietnam, Yugoslavia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria. The CIA was involved in covert operations that resulted in mass killings of communists in over 22 countries, 500,000 to 2,000,000 Indonesian civilians disappeared in 1965-1966.

When the total debt was $1 trillion it was time to hit the brakes on spending. That never happened and the debt is now $34 trillion. So the debt will never be paid and borrowing will continue until the bubble bursts. It will be the "black swan" moment linked to some sort of "Holland Tulip" crisis. A fifth US Federal Reserve will be created on a train ride to Jekyll Island and all the overseas dollars are worthless. Dollars in America will be reimbursed 100 to 1 for "new dollars" and house prices will be divided by 100, etc. Or something like that. I'm sure there are lots of international bankers working diligently on the problem. I'm not one of them but that is a general design. Others will do the detailed design, programming and implementation.

Pr. Wolff repeats the myth that military production can revive an economy indicating a fundamental flaw in his analysis. While at times there may be non-military applications from new technologies which have civilian benefits, as a rule the production of off-the-shelf military hardware is a net drag on any economy. While using up valuable labor and resources, the output of military production does not, when consumed, raise the standard of living or the productivity of the population, the exact opposite is true. The US economy is presently using its dwindling meager manufacturing capability in military production, taking away from uses which raise living standards. By contrast, China, which has lifted 900 million people out of poverty, has proven that a productive and thriving economy can be built without significant (although unfortunately necessary, but wasteful) military spending. Germany in the postwar period, until its recent decision to commit economic suicide had achieved "ab economic miracle" with hardly any military spending at all. As for Pr. Wolff's comments regarding Russia, President Putin has shown great care to making sure that the war effort in Ukraine does not create a drop in consumer production or shortages. To a large extent that has been achieved by utilization of idled military capacity which, were it not for NATO aggression, could be used for better purposes, and one result has been a labor shortage. Despite Western claims that Russia now has a "war economy" the military sector in estimated to be no greater than 6%..

See all those who are debt/interest-free, living in their own house may be small, doing business without any debt, and having assets debt-free is how peach in peace and having a peaceful life as compared to those who have big villas, big cars, high Ceradit Card and other debts. Conclusion: less is better than more and don't run for more by right or wrong methods. This life is temporary and needs to spend in simple way

Makes you wonder if they ever had any plan at all to fix the economy. Well all you can do is is keep warning people hoping they don't follow the other dodos off the cliff. You lead a horse to the water can't make them drink right.. You're beautiful Rachel keep up the great work and Amazing economic break down Richard. I got that song stuck in my head "she's a brick house" but lyrics being instead "Invest in BRICS house". lol

Another brilliant and clear analysis of current world situation by Prof Wolff. Unfortunately 95% of the population are still inundated with the lazy and shallow journalism being put out by mainstream media! Thank you Rachel for having Prof Wolff on your channel!

I grew up wanting to be north american or european, now, in my 30s I never been more happy of being brazilian. So proud of Brazil, through president Lula and president Dilma, for being a founder part of this world shattering transformation that is the BRICS. Lets hope we survive the end of the empire and live long enough to see the realization of the multipolar, multinodal, HARMONIC new world order.

@jacobjorgenson9285 Yep, and so is the usa. Brazil has universal health care and public universities, so, way ahead of the usa in a lot of fundamental policies. We also dont have people shoot kids at school, nor terrorists attacking civilians because of our foreign policy. We have loads of problems, we admit it, we dont hide from them. The usa on the other hand is completely delulu. LOL
