Diamonds were compared to a skull of a T-Rex; meaning a dragon type fruit can counter his ability. Meaning ZOAN devil fruits are the balance to certain logia. Zoans are instinctual whilst logias are elemental in the prospect of its chemical background. Hence why ace died to Akainu….. the compounds are a compromise as to showing Logias are NOT the most powerful powers in this world. It’s been proven by the defeats of ENEL and CROCODILE

"Entry" does Oden count? Because Oden is an absolute legend. He's not only an absolute beast to watch in combat but I love his whole desire for freedom thing he's got going. Plus he graduated from commander on whitebeard's ship to legend on the pirate king's ship
"Entry" most likely Marco, simply because he seems so unassuming but is an absolute powerhouse with amazing potential in both offensive, defensive, and supportive ability. The man essentially is the perfect crew member.
"Entry" - Marco for sure! He always gives off the "eldest sibling" vibe, taking personal requests directly from Whitebeard like when he was instructed to take care of Luffy during the Summit War. He also protected Whitebeards legacy even after his death, watching over the town that Whitebeard created for poor villagers not able to afford their heavenly tribute. He really was the most son-like character to pops which makes him the coolest to me!

Entry: Despite Vista almost never appearing in the one piece anime he’s still and interesting character yet to be fully explored. At Marine fort we saw Vista and Mihawk having an I would say pretty equal fight, which blows my mind since mihawk is the strongest swords man and there for he’s my favourite commander.

I'm gonna definitely go with Vista, I love the scene where he goes head to head with Mihawk, I wish they would've shown more of him in the Marineford Arc
Squard is my favorite. He is one of the many smaller characters in the series that actually has growth, and he realized his mistake almost immediately but after being forgiven by WB, he was willing to give up his life to save Ace.
To make things better, he probably isn't done appearing. I believe he might show later, and help out because he may still believe what happened to whiteboard is partly his fault

Prior to his fight with Blackbeard, he had to face Akainu, who he went all out to defeat, only after receiving an internal magma wound. I'd imagine that Whitebeard steaming and looking all red is due to the strain he's put his body over for the past few hours of nonstop fighting.
Well considering people's bodies do heat up from high exertion and it wouldn't even have to be that cold to see. I've played football games in highschool where its high 50s low 60s and steam would pour out of my pads so checks out with me. (Edit: I'd also like to clarify I'm no whitebeard. My favorite commander is “vista of the flower swords” because of how he rivaled mihawks power and showing how much of a gap of skill zoro still needs to acquire to be the number 1 swordsman

Its a really cool connection and as a fan of oden and the scabbards, I really like how Oda placed Izo in marineford way before the events of Wano really happened. Makes you think how far into the future and how much Oda thought about these kind of characters.
Marco the Phoenix: He is the reason we still have puffy and jinbie in one piece and even when his old man is not alive anymore he is still relevant in the series making his comeback to help the straw hats in wano.

I like how different his attitude and demeanor is from other characters in the series and seeing him interact with and train Ace is just the best. Imagine being on top of the world, being able to literally shake the Earth with your powers and having a fleet so strong that you could take the whole world by storm, and yet, you just want to live a peaceful life and provide for your family and friends. Selfless, righteous and, on top of that, kind as no one else. That was Edward Newgate. That is a man i would proudly call "father".

My favourite commander is Oden. His back story, especially the part where he was willing to publicly humiliate himself for 5 years straight to protect the citizens really hit me in the feels. Even when they started mocking him 😭

The diamond Jozu is my favorite whitebeard commander, I think he has so much potential & his fruit is amazing especially if it got awakened! He did not get a lot of screentime but I really loved his design and fruit

My favorite Whitebeard Pirates commander is Izo, because he turned out to be way stronger and more badass than we realized, has a cool backstory in Wano, and is the first person to show us how a top-tier can fight using a GUN in a series where stuff like guns and cannons have mostly proven irrelevant.
Yeah and ben beckman and yasopp i think but he is the only person who has proven this in the show
@@isaiahjacobo7385 Exactly, we know of only a few truly top-tier characters in the series who use a gun as their primary weapon, and Izo is the only one of those whose style of combat we've actually seen.
We can also assume that Van Augur probably falls into that category as well.

Vista, he's funny, charismatic and somehow always followed by flower leaves which is comical
Ace easily, his whole personality is so cool, and seeing a character other than shanks that Luffy respects was sick.
My favorite commander is “vista of the flower swords” because of how he rivaled mihawks power and showing how much of a gap of skill zoro still needs to acquire to be the number 1 swordsman

My favorite Whitebeard commander has to be Diamond" Jozu. When I learned he could turn into diamonds it blew my mind! Before haki was a big thing I couldn't think of a way to beat somebody who is made of the hardest substance. Also the idea of him awakening his fruit and making everything diamonds is hella dope.

I honestly like Izo because of the fact that he was present in Marineford and is currently one of the scabbards and very important to the story. Its a really cool connection and as a fan of oden and the scabbards, I really like how Oda placed Izo in marineford way before the events of Wano really happened. Makes you think how far into the future and how much Oda thought about these kind of characters.
Marco the Phoenix: He is the reason we still have puffy and jinbie in one piece and even when his old man is not alive anymore he is still relevant in the series making his comeback to help the straw hats in wano.

Oden hands down is my fav commander because of how insane and bad ass he was. a mad samurai from wano who crossed blades with some of the top dog pirates like Roger, Whitebeard and Kaido whats not to love.

“Entry”, Marco is my favorite because he seems like the freest he seems like a hippie that flys wherever he wants and his fruit powers are just so amazing and it’s still kinda vague, imagine if Marcos latent or maybe secret ability is a one time resurrection but he loses his fruit a Phoenix is immortal too. I think Marco can be dove into very deeply.

I love all of the whitebeard crew, even more so than any other crew in one piece. Choosing a favorite commander is really unfair, as they are all great, but vista is probably my favorite. Not only does he have the second greatest mustache, he is a character I want to know more about. He clashes with mihawk and is able to hold his own putting him in the upper echelon of swordsmen. Gotta be my pick for the best commander.
And Taking about "Vista" It is because in marine ford he fights mihawk but when he makes his move the flowery thing comes out. So we still don't know that if he is an devil fruit user or not.
Entry : Oden is my favorite whitebeard commander. Even though he joined the group for his own reasons, he always respected whitebeard after they let him ride on his ship. Also, great backstory and amazing character with some strong principles.

Honestly my favorite whitebeard commander recently became Thatch. After reading the 3 chapters Riichiro Inagaki made out of Ace's Story the snooty chef really grew on me. I like how different his attitude and demeanor is from other characters in the series and seeing him interact with and train Ace is just the best. Though every time I learn more about him I just grow to hate Blackbeard more ;(
My favorite commander is Marco. His personality just makes me smile, and having a phoenix fruit is just really really cool.

Marco is probably my favorite, the dude joined the crew presumably young and he's still in his prime years during the events now. Although, all of the commanders are very cool characters.
