Don't get me wrong, Jul is amazing, his movement and item game are exceptional, but at the end of the day, he feels pretty content on waiting for his opponent to approach. And you'd think that this is the way Robin is supposed to be played, with all the projectiles they have, but in the video above you can see how aggressive Nairo is. He doesn't stand there zoning out his opponent with Thunder, he goes in and actively tries to establish the advantage stage that Robin is so good at. I just feel that people get too caught up in the fact that Robin has a lot of projectiles. I believe that if you play them too campy, you'll either get overwhelmed by a rushdown character or, ironically, by another campy character. And I think that Nairo understands that too, which is really indicative of his skill.
I think a lack of matchup experience is the main reason LeoN struggled so much here. He definitely has the skill required to win, but tbf how often does anyone get the chance to face a Robin that good?

At the first moment I played Robin I instantly started loving her Ultimate is my first smash ever and I got Robin at 4.9 Million gsp (is that good?) with only 2 hours of play time with her. For comparison, I got 13 hours with cloud and only got him at 2.9 million
Its not that other characters dont succeed against heavies, it's that robin is especially successful. Robin's combination of oppressive projectiles and large hit boxes make it extremely challenging for heavies, in particular, to avoid or land. Furthermore, all of Robin's craziest arcfire combos that do insane damage work on heavies. Not all characters have a combo that does 50% damage and can kill at 60 (ex. Double arcfire into charged upsmash).
Nairo once said on stream that he really missed the guaranteed UpThrow into UpAir. That's definitely probably not the biggest reason, but still a reason that I have heard from him.

Impressive stuff from Nairo, though his Robin does feel dated in places. For example, at 1:32 he went for an uair followup from the Arcfire when a partially charged usmash would've worked, and I don't think I saw him use a single Levin nair the entire set despite how crazy of a spacing tool it is. In other words, if his Robin worked as a secondary despite being so unrefined, imagine what he could do with the character if he starts using more Levin nairs, Thunders, and more optimized setups from Arcfire and Arcthunder!
Honestly I'm not sure if an up smash would've killed there, and he probably just wanted the safe play, bowser would never have been able to land an aerial in this play, but he definitely could have punished if Nairo was off on his timing with an up smash

And i agree with the up smash punish, but its also a bigger commitment at times as well, one wrong timed smash and leon will make you pay for it. I think as far as the nairs, with bowser he struggles more with the projectiles and arc fire, so he relied more on those, and grab mixups to get his openings. bowser cant land so up air / fair was always the choice for punishes or juggling, vs the horizontal angle for nair.
Frankie Jimenez nah he loses practically every time he counter picks Battlefield. BF’s platform set up is just too tight for Bowser and the blast zones are so big that you don’t even get anything out of a top plat side-B. He consistently does better on PS2. Yoshi’s story is a way better tri-plat set up than BF but Nairo probably banned it.
Bowser loves tri plat stages because his up tilt is really good at covering the platforms, the tri plat allows his side b to kill earlier, platforms gives Bowser more landing options which he really needs as a big body char, also people always shield on platforms since there's usually nothing people can do about that but Bowser can side b that, the list honestly goes on and on.
I honestly think Robin gets way too much flak, and ranking him Bottom 5 is a bit too harsh. Sure he may not be fast, and has limited usage on literally every move, but he does have some good set-ups and combos, even with Bronze Sword. Hell, he's probably better than most of characters in Low-Tier.

I'd like to see more players like that, who just don't go with one or two characters all the time but pull off different characters depending on matchup. It would give a more strategic aspect to the meta, you'd really have to master a pack of characters and pick the right one to get the most chances, a bit like picking the right tool instead of using a swiss knife. I mean I don't have anything against using only one character, but that would be neat.

Why does nobody use robins godly jab? I dont think jab1 is unsafe. Its also frame4. You cant flurry bowser for damage but fire one kills nicely at those percents.
If you use jab too much, you can't recover
