- Designed by Vastushilpa Sangath LLP, the design of every element in Smriti Van symbolizes rebirth, renewal, hope, and the beginning of the journey of life. "Plant a tree for each victim" is the short and precise brief that Smriti Van is designed around. The trees together form the world's largest Miyawaki Forest where every drop of water is conserved through several reservoirs that are placed and designed strategically.

Principal Architect Rajeev Kathpalia has also designed a sun point where visitors can soak in the sunrise as well as the sunset. A museum comprising multiple galleries showcasing the tradition, culture, and new technologies weaves the whole memorial together.
