    I see adults that don't know which end of the screwdriver does the business. When did dads stop teaching kids about tools work and mechanics? Good job Bear.

    I agree with you bear, not many people know how to do anything that requires physical labor. Your son does a better job with the lug nuts than most tire shops around me. The breaker bar looks like it should do the job and last, seems well built.

    @iamflat ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I got one of these a few years ago specifically to fit in a small toolbox that I carry with me on trips, mainly to use for lug nuts. I've been very satisfied with it for that application.

    Fantastic breaker bar. Fits in tight spaces and extends as needed. Has not failed yet and has saved lots of time working on a vehicle. The only downside is that is does not collapse shorter.

    I’ve had one for 6 months and used it on all kinds of things in that time and I’m very happy with it. Fits in places longer ones don’t and it’s easier than having a short one and a cheater bar in a truck. So I’m happy I’m summary

    Well said bear. Nice to see you teaching the cubs. That Quinn breaker bear looks pretty nice. I was lucky to pick up that digital torque adapter about a year ago at HF for a really good sale price.

    I bought the Quinn digital torque wrench last year, but also have the torque adapter and extendable breaker bar- I find myself reaching for that combo more and more. No issues with the breaker bar so far.

    Been using this bad boy for a while breaking things that are torqued as high as close to 200 ftlb, it doesnt complain. Got the length of a solid bar, collapses to fit in a drawer. Very nice.
    It it ever breaks i go warranty it down the road and get a new one lol cant beat it!

    I have an extendable breaker bar. It is about 18" long. With a four foot heavy wall black iron pipe when it needs more torque. Fits multiple tools, too.

    I always had to help dad work on stuff. My job was to hold the light steady (failed) and run to the tool box to get what he forgot (too slow). I carry Pittsburgh and Carlyle breaker bars on my service truck so I don’t need an expanding breaker bar but it’s cool nonetheless.

    I've always been leary of extendable ratchets and breaker bars mainly because I don't trust the tubular part of the handle...it just reminds me of a cheap claw hammer that folds in half after a missed strike. However, this one LOOKS pretty sturdy and, for $30, I might have to try one out.

    That looks good. I have a 3/8" drive extendable ratchet that is extremely handy. When a very tight fastener breaks loose, the direction switch always flips which tells me it isn't premium in spite of the Maximum brand's lifetime warranty. At least a budget breaker bar won't have such issues but I'm sure the ultimate strength is not the highest. Still worth the price though.

      I have the 3/8-1/4 combo and 1/2” drive Pittsburgh extendable ratchets and they’re fantastic. I can bust loose a nut with it extended and then shorten it on the fly to continue loosing. They would be perfect for a tool kit for the car.

    Thumb's up for your kid _even knowing_ to tighten the opposite lugs in sequence like that. Well done, Sir! As for my experience with Horror Fright's extendables, down in the shallow yellowish Pittsburgh Pro end of the pool, I've been perfectly satisfied with that _1/4 in. x 3/8 in. Dual Drive Extendable Ratchet_ currently for just $11.99. It's just the ticket for motorcycle touring, where space is always at a premium, doing double duty as a regular ratchet with the select ¼ and ⅜ sockets I bring along, while also serving as the occasional breaker bar for those heftier wheel nuts. And it fits so handily into my side pannier. Also, since a good rule of thumb for packing for bike camping and touring is that everything hauled along should ideally serve more than a single purpose, that extendable ratchet will also serve handily to ward off the over-amorous advances of any lusty woodchucks that may find their way into your tent in the night...should you so choose. I mean, the road _can_ be cold and lonely.

    Boy was I ticked off today with Harbor Freight. Today they advertised that there was a 30% off for members with no exception. HOWEVER, when you clicked on the coupon there was the hook. The item had to be $19.99 or less. This advertising is misleading with the intent to get you into the store. Then when you (I) get to the register you are told it's for 19.99 and under.
    I know this is off topic, however I don't get a chance to see your video's until a boat load of people have made comments. I have been a TCM since it began. It is also a pain that members must go through the computer coupons to get a discount on an item that isn't in the members coupons section. It would be a great incentive to have any item on sale in the store when you go to the register to pay and get any discount advertised. In my opinion that would definitely make it more worth while to become a member.

    • @EfficientRVer
      @EfficientRVer ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree on all points, especially making applying the best coupons automatic for members. Regarding the 30% off everything ads, the last time I missed seeing the under $20, I looked at the ad again, and it was right there, big and bold.

    My son is extremely intelligent, he can’t hammer a nail in a 2x4. I doubt he could change a flat tire. He makes six figures at his job and calls people to fix everything. I grew up in the garage fixing our cars, my parents couldn’t afford to have a mechanic fix our cars.
