Easily one of the best indie games I've played! I still love it to this day and it's been out for over 4 years now.
Honestly this game is criminally underrated. It's super fun, hard as hell on higher difficulties, has a gigantic world for a Metroidvania to explore, and is super satisfying to play. I'm glad it got to be shown, even if casual is more of an intricate movement based run, it's still a treat to watch.

I bought it on a whim because of the reviews and yeah, it's amazing. Didn't expect this to be on gdq
I love seeing this great game getting the attention it deserves at GDQ. Hopefully we get to see more of it and with different goals/restrictions like going to the post game, playing on different difficulties and doing a no items run.
Rabi-Ribi is one of the most underrated gems of this gen. Wonderful game and the walljumps this runner is doing all the time are actually way harder to do than it looks. Great run, hope to see more of RR in the future

underrated game
did i really just miss out on rabi-ribi being run live on SGDQ and only find out 5 months later? i absolutely adore this game, its so stupidly underrated, i feel bad for not being able to catch it live
This game in my top 3 favourites of all time and theres so much more to it than a speedrun shows. Please give it a try
Seeing the player do all those wall jumps consistently without the wall jump item when i would struggle to do more than one on my own make me feel simultaneously awed and also extremely envious. If I had time for speedrunning this would be my inspiration to grind this out and get good but I just don't have the time. This game's awesome when you cut out literally all the weird stuff from the cutscenes (as we could see from some of the credits) and seems like a really fun speed game right up there with Metroid Dread and Axiom Verge.

i learned how to do a few, but they're hard to pull off
some is even needed to finish x-bunny cause the game will guaranteed crash in a few fights cause there's "too many bullets". you can't even enter chapter 9 on x-bunny w/o a glitch in fact cause seana's endurance part is one of those guaranteed crashes

Man... I played this game like 2 years ago... I just replayed it recently... what a good timing for this speedrun!!!!
I love how you can speedrun rabi ribi in 20-30 minute in casual any%, or take 20+ hour just to beat bunny extinction difficulty
impossible/x-bunny is a brutal challenge too
bunny extinction and impossible speedruns still only take about 50-60 minutes. It's not really the difficulty, the routes and fights are just very optimized.
the fights in particular are mostly routed such that bosses are killed before they have chances to attack (by locking them in long combos etc), as letting a boss attack takes up a lot of time. It is often faster to reset the fight if the runner messes up and the boss gets a chance to attack (e.g. 5:40).
There's so much to this game that isn't shown that this run doesn't do it justice. Not even 100% can do it justice with the amount of things that aren't counted toward completion like the EX bosses and the DLC.
It DELIGHTS me to learn that the optimal movement for this speedrun to hop like a bunny

Nothin all that much to it. Stand back about as far as the hole is high, between 1 and 2 tiles in this case, then slide-jump as high as the hole is and it just works.
This game is so underrated, like others said. It has a good database site, but sadly no presence on Facebook.
Well, it does now, trying to grow that group so people have an easy way to discuss and get help.

Rabi Ribi borrows a lot of gameplay elements from Touhou, down to some boss patterns. Not that it's a bad thing, this game is beyond amazing.
