Hey just to let everyone know OMV-extras plugin released an update today making changes to how the DOCKER install process works and removing PORTAINER and YACHT installer options. IK this is one of the few recent videos with OMV6 so I know many people will get confused trying to follow along please see the OMV forums can't paste a link.

I think you misspelled the title
9:54 This error is appearing because openmediavault itself is already using that port to provide avahi service. Moving the duplicate avahi daemon in Plex's container to a different port is a decent fix because Plex doesn't actually need it anymore.
I fresh installed OMV 6, but when I installed Portainer, the status was only "CREATED". It does not start. Similar with YACHT, it doesn't even install, says "Something went wrong trying to pull and start yacht". Any resolve to this?

Followed the directions in another video on how to install portainer. It's status is just says "Status: Created" not running or a timer showing how long its been up. And none of the web sites like portainer or yacht want to run.
I've uninstalled. Rebooted. Reinstalled. Did 3 fresh reinstalls. Still "Created" The only time it actually worked was when I had the OMV setup on a 1tb SSD. I have a spair 128G SSD i used for this project.
Head over to the OMV forums and explain in more detail what is not working.

Thanks for the explanations. My question is this. Why when I install the services in OMV just as you say, following your steps, everything works fine, I change passwords and it accepts them, I start to put it in Spanish, I put my profile... everything is fine. But the next day when I log in again there is no way, it does not accept the passwords I entered, it tells me you do not have access, etc. I have put the same ports that you say and nothing. That's what happens to me with Portainer, Yacht, PhotoPrism... I really don't understand it.
You would best to ask the author for that.
yacht got some serious issues, one of it is being unresponsive or worse just go break on its own using a chromium based browser. It's been a long standing issue and the dev seems to have no idea whats causing the issue.
if you have this issue, just use firefox, yacht works great on firefox.
aside from that, yacht is actually far better to use than portainer, redeploying a container or updating a image is much more easier on yacht compared to portainer which is total pain in the ass if you have containers deployed not using docker-compose,
I have one time that totally borked one of my containers with portainer when I updated the image finding out that the volume mounts are basically gone and setting volume mounts in portainer with absolute path is basically impossible (unless you use stacks) because their reason is docker driver something something.... ffs docker already support absolute path mounting, why just let us do that. /rant
portainer is only good for managing (eg, start, stop, restart and delete containers) other than that its pain in the ass to use and everyone is encouraged just either use the terminal and use docker-compose or use the stacks (since that uses docker-compose) when doing things like updating the images, and reconfiguring the containers.
I am rebuilding the backend in a more contributor friendly language (typescript) and will also be rebuilding the frontend once the backend is completed. It’s in the yacht-api repo on my GitHub. As for the issue with locking up, have you used the devel image to see if that fixes things? There’s and issue with latest on the dashboard page related to server sent events. There’s another issue where your access key times out but the refresh is only able to happen one time for some reason.

TD - How did you get your absolute path to be so clean without using a symlink? Mine are mounting /srv/dev-disk-by-uuid... etc
If you watch the OMV6 setup video that was done he sets it up then.
Why choosing Yacht over Portainer anyway?

Hello. What you think about plugin filebrowser tutorial? Its really small and powerfull, really easy to power up. However its hard to manage users and permmisions. And there is no much on internet...
Not sure if this is a bug in yacht or not, but when I try to install plex it installs the client, not the server. Am I missing something or is there another template I need to install to get the plex server?
Plex is working ... he just doesn't know anything about why is wired on container that way through those ports & why is network through host. But overal good video.
isn"t airsonic dead? Why not Navidrome or airsonic-advanced?
I just picked random things to install. You can install whatever you want.

Did you watch my video on getting through firewalls set up by countries? It uses OMV.
