NEW SWORD REAPER IS AMAZING IN WVW - Power Reaper Duels and Outnumbered

I never really played Necro at all because of the lack of mobility, but the addition of sword completely fixed that! Let me know if you enjoyed the Reaper content!

As a reaper player,its one of the cheesiest class if you decide to fight it.But 90% of the time people can and will run away from you

I disagree tho, I have 1000 hours on reaper (almost 800 are PvP and WvW). Reaper deals tons of damage, but it's easily countered since it lacks protections, anyone with decent CC can kill a reaper if they know what they're doing. I love the class but it's no that great in PvP as others (100 hours with a Guardian and that thing stomps in PvP easily).
It's outstanding in PvP/WvW if you have a support besides you to give you those protections though, otherwise is mediocre at best.

​@@Lothkrunah. Its not that reaper is bad in pvp. Its that most reaper players try to facetank everything with no life force management instead of using spectral and wurm jukes to outplay opponent. Also guardian isnt as strong as you make it sound. Reaper counters them hard

now that spear is out do you think its better than GS for the power reaper ?

@@jakkreed3251 Spear is probably best in slot for now as power reaper because it give you the engage you need to land meaningful damage in shroud. Gs 5 relies on them not having stab, while the spear doesn’t need to worry about that for its gap closer.

How do you feel about taking Death Magic with Greatsword for the carapace stacks?

Condi transfer, fury, extra precision, boon corrupt(shroud skill 2), weakness on crit

The biggest thing I use it for is the condi transfer and boon rip…getting stuck with blinds or weakness can really mess up gs bursts and boon more boon rips help to get rid of stab and land CC chains when you need them

Sword focus is honestly better because spinal shiver’s boon rip and damage is too important if you’re not landing gs damage
