fantastic video
Thanks great job thanks
👍
Basically all the normal LiFePO4 stuff we'd expect. Decent enough. These little batteries are useful for all sorts of stand-alone solar applications.
Your charger must not have a BMS wakeup function. Usually it doesn't take so much work to get a depleted battery that's gone into BMS disconnect to charge again.
You need a zero volt lithium charger to wake up one in low voltage disconnect. I do not have one that I can remember at least.
@@rodneyhunt If you have piles of old electronic devices with little wall bricks, most of those output 12VDC and are current limited or "hicup" when over-currented, which is perfect for waking up batteries. The output voltage and current is written on the plugs.
So if you can find one that outputs 12VDC at less than 2A, cut off the barrel connector on the end so you have the two wires and you can just put that on the battery for a short bit. Make sure you get the polarity right.
Its virtually impossible to hurt either the battery or these little (typically less than 1A) wall warts.
Alternatively if you have a bench power supply, just set it to around 12V and set the current limiting to 1A and use that.

This a great video. Thank you for your time and information to the community.
You bet! Thank you
@@rodneyhunt Overall cost?
@@calmanny Have not calculated yet. When I complete the build I can give an update. Probably $350 give or take.
Thank you for your time, any more fishing and prepping videos? @@rodneyhunt
@@calmanny Definitely more preparedness videos in the future. Probably not fishing videos
When not in the test environment. You typically don’t want to run your batteries below 30%. If you do, you either need more batteries and solar or a generator. Good job. Enjoy the video.
True but just like to show how a battery reacts when run down into low voltage protection. Thanks
@@rodneyhunt great testing
Thanks
Is the little flap over the AC so it does not freeze you out when doing videos?
The noise when the air flow hits the mic. Trying to prevent that.
why buy the 59ah and not the 100ah?
I have both. The 50ah just fit better
