Yeah, it sucks. It won the Ver.Ka poll ages ago so i hope we're getting it soon. That said though, we only got Master Grades of the 00 S1 designs in the last few years and they're fantastic kits because they had a long time to develop them, so i don't mind waiting a bit if it means the kit will be better.

You're supposed to keep the shield clicked into the open position when it rides on it, that's why it won't line up. Also screaming at the bent wing at the end.
I continue to be in love with the F90 A to Z project, and this is probably the best yet, because the I-Type equipment is really high quality. Mounted up on the flight shield it really stands out something unique in the collection. The F90 series was not afraid to try some weird and wacky shit, and you can totally build a few of them with different Mission Packs and have them all hold their own as different and cool. I have an S-Type and this I-Type up on the shelf and I would mind doing another.
@@kryse4806 That is exactly what the F-90II was originally. Just F-90 Unit 2, with red instead of blue on the hardpoint covers. The machine was stolen, turned into the OMS-90R Gundam F90, a Mars Zeon modified design, then defeated by Gundam F-90 Unit 1. Then it is rebuilt into what it is now. Heck, it's likely possible to build this kit into an F-90 Unit 2 with some of the leftover parts on the runners.

I was dumb. I put the blue eyes on (despite planning on the yellow eyes). It looks really good with those eyes though. I loved building this kit. It makes me want more of the kits that are a variation of it (F90 and the option parts).
Just to let everyone know. P-Bandai is meant to be Japan only products. People outside Japan got interested and soon became a thing after P-Bandai US was opened
I don't know if the OP knows F90 II comes from the recovered Olds Mobile F90 which is used by Zeon Remnants It was stolen and modified with the C.A Chip It fights with F90 with the A.R. Chip The red is a reference to that.
I had this ordered and then cancelled after I saw how small it is, as I'm not a fan of small kits, especially after doing the F91 2.0. I ended up getting the F90 out of curiosity and enjoyed it so much, I picked this one back up again. Out of the few PBandai kits I've done, the F90 really felt premium for a change.
Seeing this is makeing me wonder if they will release a MG F90III sometime. I've seen concept art for it and it was in one of the crossbone mangas. But either way, I hope to see it
Very nice review; I agree it's very old-school looking and therefore not for everyone; but I personally love how it truly looks like a main gundam from a series that would have aired in the late 80s after ZZ.
I wish more MG had an abs inner frame since its just so much more solid. Leave the polystyrene for the armour and bits that won't be supporting weight or moving much
There's a pack, that I believe was a good test bed for everything the F91 had. A reason for cutting the F90 was because, why waste all your money on one thing that takes a long prep time, for a mission. When you can make something that can do every mission, without that massive prep time of attaching armor.
F91 is combine technology from the two. -F90 V-pack. (VSBR weapon and extended radiator fin) -F90-2 (Bio computer system, that built in the chest area which why chest look similar to F91)
Do you really need to close the shield up after flipping the wings out? I figured it remains extended to make it easier for the left hand to hold the handle.

I'd say the Wing and Strike RM Seed kits are a good starting point given how solid the inner frames are and the low break risk. The Freedom 2.0, Providence, and Justice are notorious for having easy-to-break hip joints so maybe don't start with those lol
@Elijah Park the MG Astrays are ridiculously solid what Also I don't think I've ever seen anyone unironically suggest building MG Unicorns to even veteran builders because it's that wack of a kit. Also after having built the MG Providence and the Freedom 2.0 I can definitely see how the hip pegs breaking could be an issue, even if I myself never had an issue with them either lol. I can't think of any Chinese metal parts more heavily in-demand than the ones for the hips to be honest. They're absurdly easy to break if you're not gentle with your kits or don't support the joints properly while posing.
@Elijah Park I've built the Turn Red, Blue Frame D and Red Dragon all within the past couple years and to be honest not one of them has fallen apart on me so maybe it is indeed an age thing (as these were pretty new builds). I also don't play or repose my kits much if at all so distinctly possible. I feel like I could throw these things without having to fear breakage, and the Turn Red was my first MG. The Freedom 2.0 is admittedly a simpler build outside of the shoulders and hips yeah. But it also doesn't have the sturdy feeling the Astray frame gives me so idk. Not like I wouldn't heavily recommend the Freedom 2.0 or Providence (I desperately want the Justice lol), I just don't think it's a beginner kit like the comparatively simple Strike RM kits and the Wing MG's, both lines of which are simple, sturdy, baseline MG's without much to complain about (outside the Aegis).
@Elijah Park Having handled the Red Frame Kai (a friend built it) the only part that didn't feel good was the opening black section in the tactical arms. That part definitely breaks easy but it's something that was made better in the Blue Frame's version of the tactical arms. Was one of the parts you had issue with on the actual mobile suit where the hips plug into the waist?
