This is literally what it's like being in a studio.. I love these types of recordings it's all random chatter then all of a sudden a song comes out of no where
they put the idea together so fast it's crazy. people can put their music down, but it's some great pop music. the production and songwriting is just top notch. don't even get me started on the mixing and mastering after the fact. technically, there's some glaring sibilance in a lot of the vocals, but overall, their music is catchy, fun, and well put together. it was great seeing them get more involved and develop a sound.
For anybody confused, this is called the nonsense singing or the gibberish technique. A lot of songwriters will come up with the melody first and sing nonsense to see what works , and comes up with lyrics afterwards. It's amazing to hear this piece of the boys' creative process 😂🥰😍 does anybody know if there are any other recordings like this of their other songs?

Only AM was written by them as a five piece band. The rest were written in pairs and individually (Zayn not involved in the writting process). At least is what Wikipedia mentions. I don't really trust that page, though. So, maybe, I'm wrong about this

So basically a guy who worked on SNL met 1D and he said their “rider” or request for like food during rehearsal and stuff was KFC like every single day. He said they got like 50 buckets of KFC one time 💀
This is still to me one of the most wholesome, adorable things I've ever heard. The chaotic energy and pure joy as they're singing about freaking KFC makes me inexplicably happy without fail
