    I was thinking: hold on , did midjourney content are finished so thats way he will repeat the things .. but Hell NO .. you make the video like its my first time knowing midjourney prompting .. and you nailed it with description in the beginning about regular prompt and multiple prompt.. can wait for the next video 👍👍

    you can also use negative weights in multi-prompts as opposed to having to use the "--no ____" parameter as well - it's definitely a more precise & less confusing way to specify stuff you don't want to be included in your designs

    Can't wait for the follow-up, because I really want to know what you've experienced as far as having different weights to multi-prompts when the overall prompt gets longer. Does a multi-prompt with something weighted as a 2 at the _end_ of a long prompt have as much effect? I've struggled with that a lot.
    Thank you for this.

    • @FutureTechPilot
      @FutureTechPilot  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      haha the next video will be up tomorrow morning .. but as far as the weight at the end of a long prompt? I've never tested that but I think it's because I'm pretty sure it wouldn't matter. I think :: makes Midjourney treat each part separately, and therefore there is no order of importance ...
      however, I could be wrong! And it's something I should experiment with. Thanks for the comment!

    Great vid. It’d be helpful to see how you split the weight over more than 2 subjects. What if you have 5 elements you need to weight? How do you focus one weight without diluting the others? Is it expecting too much of MJ? Is it best to focus on a couple of elements per image then combine images to achieve a complex composite scene?

    • @mkm1856
      @mkm1856 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ultimately when you use enough weights in your prompts it becomes just a general weighting system (which is why I personally use 1-10 as a scale, since it's easier to be more precise when you're trying to get a lot of different objects/styles/effects/etc into one prompt without them all being really close to the same weight & pretty much just having a prompt that is technically only slightly different from a basic word prompt w/o item weights)
      you can also use decimals as well, which would be more effective for using weights of 1-3; but that's basically why I just do 1-10...gives you a lot more room to precisely dial-in the settings you're going for

      @@mkm1856 My understanding is that it’s a bit like baking a cake. Every time you add a weigh number (ingredient), it becomes a portion of the entire cake. Your cake tin is only so big. Only a certain amount of ingredients can be included. If you have 5 elements rated between 1-10, I assume there must be a limit to the total number of added weights? eg. If you add up all the weights and they = 15 (which is the size of your cake tin), then all the individual weights are proportion fractions of that total number?
      Could you give me an example?

    • @FutureTechPilot
      @FutureTechPilot  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll have another video out tomorrow which covers the basics of your question. I think you'll see enough examples that will give you an idea of what to expect with longer prompts.

    • @FutureTechPilot
      @FutureTechPilot  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll explain this in the video tomorrow, but a quick summary is: the total weight of your prompt needs to be positive. And yes, each weight becomes a fraction of the total weight ... or an easier way of thinking about it, each weight is related to each other ... dog::2 cat::1 is dog 2/3 and cat is 1/3 but I just see it as dog being twice as important as cat.
      Do you know what I'm trying to say?

    Not necessarily true. With very complex prompts, where there's different weight prompting for numerous different aspects of the prompt, I've found weights like ::10 sometimes beneficial.
    For short, simple prompts........yes, large weighting is generally not beneficial.

    • @FutureTechPilot
      @FutureTechPilot  ปีที่แล้ว

      oh that's a really good point! And I kinda noticed it too now that you mention it

    • @mkm1856
      @mkm1856 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah I personally use a scale of 1-10 (as well as negative weights to avoid having to use the "--no" parameter - it's just way more precise). it makes it much easier for longer prompts with lots of different elements to be more precisely weighted; technically you could just do the same 1-3 scale and just weigh each part to either the nearest tenth or hundredth, but that can just get confusing when whole numbers are just easier to deal with in general...

    • @LouisGedo
      @LouisGedo ปีที่แล้ว

      @Mike
      That's a good idea about negative weights since the --no prompt for me has NEVER given satisfactory results
