Love Basenji's had them 4 40+yrs . . I can't have 1 again coz I b 68, hubby don't want the dog 2 outlive me. Had 1 named Rona(Barret) gossip, told us everything went on while we were at work, wish I could have recorded her
These dogs also come in blue tricolor, blue and cream and also blue brindle colors. I owned a blue tricolor female and she was a calm and very intelligent dog. I also owned her r ed and white male son, these ars the most amazing and wonderful dogs to own as long as people do their research on them before getting one so they no exactly how to take care of them as they should be.
Not good in Apartments, They need a big back yard to burn off their energy, High energy or get use to having stuff torn up cause they do get frustrated if they can't get outside.
i rescued a basenji /ACD mix.....she yodels & barks.....i think she has the best of both breeds......when i rescued her, she had not been trained, even basics.....she learns very quickly & has learned almost everything from my pack.....i show her with one of my dogs....when i ask her to do the action.....she looks at me like "WELL, DUH!"...........she is very intelligent, loving, eager to please, just absolutely awesome !......i have a 4 big dogs & another basenji mix rescue.....my ACD/basenji mix is half the size of my other dogs.....she is definately the alfa.....little boss lady !.....the other basenji mix, i suspect is sheba inu/basenji.....
Mine does fine in Apt. as long as we have several active outside times a day. Has never destroyed anything besides his toys. Does hate rain, but LOVES snow. Best dog I've ever had.
Hi everyone we have been looking for a puppy tricolor for about a year and a half .. I got taken at craigslist for $1600. It has become so difficult. I spoken to professionals that only breed champions. . I have spoken to all the breeders we could find a puppy near-or far and around the country. I’ve had no luck except one lady in California She had thought that her dog was pregnant. After ultrasound she was very disappointed , because of the money that She spent and that. she wasn’t going to have new puppies. That was the last of our conversation I have not heard anything back after several emails. She was very professional until, she realized that the dog was not pregnant. I just hope she didn’t fall sick.If anyone can help me and my family to get a puppy tricolor. We will be very grateful. My family needs it and I’m slowly starting to lose interest because of the difficulties. Please help us find a puppy . Much appreciate it, stay blessed

Back yard doesn’t do much if it’s owner is still lazy back yard becomes bonding quickly
