Thank you! Are you saying to do this to simply figure out if the MAF is the issue? Or will this reset it? Interesting you said that MAF, because that’s what somebody else was thinking
It turns out it was the fuel rail pressure sensor (on the tip of the fuel rail) that went out. An OBD computer reader revealed this failure. She replaced it and now it’s good to go!! It sounds like this issue / symptoms have also been tha MAF, as you thought, for other people. So thank you for your input. When disconnecting the MAF nothing changed for her; that’s when she got the ECU tested and found the culprit.
Unplug the air mass flow sensor then start it with it unplugged.
