Honestly I think this engagement is a rude. If he was sincere about wedding Paris, he would have done it in Paris without interference. Coming back to L.A. to do it is definitely to force Hope to realize she wants to be Thomas's wife, and be the only woman who he loves. I listened to Thomas say he wants another child; I feel like that might be something that could cause him to break up with Paris if Hope figures out she is pregnant and has been since he left town. A brain tumor added for good measure would give Hope an edge to get Thomas back and also seemingly excuse her behavior for fawning over John Finnagan the husband of Steffy and possibly the father of Luna.....?

First, she's told Steffy and Ridge that she's CONFIDENT that he'll STICK BY HER, regardless of his past with Hope. She wasn't the least bit CONCERNED or WORRIED about him and Hope talking ALONE TOGETHER in the CEO office at FC. Why was that? Paris sounded like she had an ACE IN THE HOLE to KEEP Tommy Boy with her. Then she APOLOGIZED to Steffy and Ridge for that SCANDAL over Beth, years ago. WHY was that? Then, she PROMISED to make their family PROUD. Huh? Then Tommy Boy told Hope that he wanted another CHILD! Now when ya ADD all of that UP, what does it tell us? Plus, Paris told Steffy and Ridge that she and Tommy Boy started their ROMANCE not long after he arrived in Paris. Now, since they're ENGAGED, they must also be SEXUALLY INTIMATE too! I suspect that Tommy Boy is feeling OBLIGATED to MARRY Paris because she's PREGNANT! She told Steffy and Ridge that they STARTED dating not LONG after he arrived in Paris. So, they've been INVOLVED long enough for her to be PREGNANT by now. Plus, he told Hope that he wanted another CHILD.
That doesn't mean he will never be with another woman. It only meant that he would only be with one woman at a time, that one woman being whoever that he is involved with at the time unlike Liam who was going back-and-forth between Hope and Steffi. And Hope even said that Steffi always had a piece of Liams heart and she never had his whole heart..
