Friendly Reminder: the Greek gods and Roman gods are NOT the same. The Romans only adopted the depictions (images) used by the Greeks, they're gods were entirely different. For example: Ares was reviled by the Greeks and the gods, he was the embodiment of wanton bloodlust and needless vengeance - a cautionary tale about the need for wisdom and battle strategy. Mars, on the other hand, was the divine ancestor of the Romans, father of Romulus and Remus and was steady and focused as the god of many things, but mostly war in order to secure peace.

Really for Hephaestus when Aphrodite arrived on mount Olympus all the males were quick to try and marry her and there for would have other gods mad. So to prevent a war Zeus ordered Aphrodite and Hephaestus to be married. But Aphrodite was not faithful to Hephaestus, like Zeus she would have affairs with mortals and even Hephaestus’s brother Ares multiple times until one day Helios the titan of the sun, was riding his chariot across the sky when he saw Ares and Aphrodite doing the nasty in there bed room. Being a great friend to Hephaestus because he created his chariot, Helios told Hephaestus of what he saw which made him very angry to were he bursted into flames and started to craft a special net to trap Ares and Aphrodite, and called all the gods to see what had happened. After Hephaestus finally took off the net he ordered him and Aphrodite to get a divorce. And as for Hera Hephaestus did give Hera a golden chair and sliver chairs to the rest of the gods. The chair was designed to trap Hera. So after it trapped her all the gods tried to do what they can to free her but only Hephaestus knew how to. So Zeus sent Ares to drag Hephaestus back to release Hera. But only ended up getting burnt to a crisp (I guess we know who would win in a fight 😅). Ares came back to Olympus covered in ashes. Then Dionysus volunteered to go and talk to him and with that he and Hephaestus bonded and that’s when Dionysus was able to convince Hephaestus to come back and Olympus and free Hera. So Hephaestus came back and listed demands such as being respected by the other gods and goddesses, having another Forge away from mount Olympus, The gods being more nicer to him and finally , having a seat on Olympus. All the gods agreed and also Hera and that’s when Hera and the other gods started to respect and be nicer to the Great God of Fire. PS: Hephaestus is the god of fire , the forge, metalworking, blacksmiths, masonry and more... but one question remains all the gods had the ability to shapeshift how come Hephaestus never changed his form to try and look more beautiful and not be crippled. The message of this video is to inform us to understand of Greek mythology and the Olympian gods and goddesses. There were up to 14 gods considered Olympian gods. Seven of them were Zeus and his siblings, and seven others were children of Zeus. Sometimes only 12 will be listed. The Greeks and Romans shared mythology, so you will find two names for most gods. I think the lesson of this video is know everything of this world because everything has a origin. And while watching this video I enjoy it because the narrator narrates it very clear and in details. Also Its give me a lot of knowledge about the greek mythology. After watching this video I felt excited to know more about the god and goddess of Greek Mythology.
This video clip stated all about God's of Olympus in Greek mythology. The message of this video is to matriculate to the history of Olympus God's. The epic stories of the Migthy Greek God's have become an inspiration for countless books and movies over the years. It's educates the viewers on the history of love, anger, betrayal, dispute, glory and honor in their own self. In an ancient Greek Olympians God's were the corpus of their belief and part of their religious and everyday life. I've also learned the different characteristics of their abilities and how it specified each and everyone of them. After watching this video clip I felt amazed about a broad history background of family tree of the Migthy Gods of Olympus.
The message of the video is all about the gods and goddesses, their characteristics and what can they do in order to fear someone, it is about their story and their symbols. I've learned the different name of gods and goddesses shown in the video such as Poseidon, Zeus, Athena, Hera, Medusa, Apollo, Dionysus, Rhea and others. In this video I've learned that Poseidon is a moody man and if someone sail in the sea they must offer a sacrifice. The symbol of Poseidon is his trident. Dionysus is the god of wine and his symbol is the branches of vine and grapes. Athena is the goddess of wisdom and Demeter is the goddess of harvest and so on. After watching it I feel enlightened because in this video the name is shown and the characteristics is indicated, accompanied with their stories that made me knew the different gods and their symbols.
I’ve been to the Parthenon in Nashville several times bc it’s incredible, the only full-scale replica of the original. It has a 43’ (I think) statue of Athena and it’s loaded with art and giant doors for, I guess giant people. Medusa is on her shield. Go if u ever get the chance!
The Athens decision was by the people not the gods. They both gave gifts Posidon a spring and Athena a branch from a olive tree. The spring was salty so they chose Athena as her gift gave them food, oil and fire wood. Its part of how they explained the droughts Athens had a fair bit. You miss or get wrong several details which is a shame as your videos are mostly interesting. The Roman gods weren't just renamed Greek ones. Yes they were heavily based on the Greek ones but had several differences and different stories attached.
Being Hellenic myself, I'm glad that these videos are narrated so well. I would not call the practice and entire ideology a myth, however you can call any religion mythology.
The message that the video wants to convey is about what character the Olympians are, what role are their role in Greek Mythology. Fifteen are mentioned in the video Gods and Goddesses, the 12 of them are the Olympians except for the three gods: Dionysus the God of Wine, Eros or Cupid the God of Love and Hades the Underworld God. After watching this video I learned a lot from it, I learned that Poseidon is the Sea God, Athena goddess of wisdom, who cursed Medusa, Demeter the goddess of harvest, Hermes the messenger of god or god of messenger, Aphrodite the goddess of beauty and love, Apollo the God of light, music, archery and twin of Artemis, Zeus the King of Olympus, the supreme god, god of lightning and thunder, Hera the Queen of Olympus, wife of Zeus , Artemis goddess of hunt, twin of apollo, Hestia goddess of home protector, Hephaestus the God of fire and Ares the God of War. After watching this video I felt amazed and happy because I now know their characteristics and if this is not true the Greeks are very good at writing.

@@denisesanchez7075 Sh'e Lady Artemis... What do you expect?
HUNTERS RULE!!!
She also had a crush on Orion. They would have made it had it not been for Apollo
Kratos: "ZEUS! Your son has returned. I BRING THE DESTRUCTION OF OLYMPUS!!!"
Kratos: "What will you do, father? You can no longer hide behind the skirts of Athena!"
Kratos is a titan u know that right

The inaccurate, violent, senseless, pointless god of war game that disfigures and distorts ancient stories, cultures and religions will be dealt with appropriately in the next few decades.
@@uniqueglow9541 ya, I hear people talking all about it and all I can think of is that, that’s so innacurate Kratos is the Greek titan of strength
Hades is my favorite
A good work to understand the gods and goddesses clearly. Thank you very much.
Percy Jackson is great it got me to want to know everything about the Greek gods and goddesses

And then there is Adonis with better fate than anyone else. Being fighted over by two hot godesses.
Well Persephone was just like a mother to him not a lover
@@gurmannsingh3059 Mother? Lover? It's all the same on Olympus 😎

Adonis is literally described as rising from Persephone's bed and she is said to have taken a single look at him and decided to keep him for herself.
And has to spend eternity between the two as he is a fertility god in his own way
Yes, Adonis was quite the Ladies Man
Im here for Hestia

The message of the video was all about where to the Goddesses of Greek Mythology came from. The lesson that I have learned in this video is the advantage and important of being familiarity in one thing or events that happened from the past. After watching this video,I felt thankful because I've already know the origin of some Goddesses in Greek Mythology.
I’m glad I stumbled upon this channel. Your videos are very well put together. Keep up the amazing work. You’ve made another fan for life.
no one:
the narrator: “he/she was of the most beautiful of gods/goddesses”
Staying on their good sides like a good little mortal.
@@InconvenienceStore420 that's what I was thinking everytime I watch these videos. It isn't my first trip through here but I hadn't read the comments.
The theater you showed when talking about Dionysus is a roman one, called Herodeon. The theater of Dionysus is nearby and nearly destroyed.
I don't know why but i just loveee Greek mythology!
And I really really like hades!
They should make movies out of these Mythology stories it's wonderful 💯
they already have...
That's a lot of ads....
Thanks for the video! I really love learning more about Greek mythology

Thanks! I really enjoyed this after recently becoming obsessed with Greek Mythology. :)
Greek mythology is so interesting, i love it
Poseidon vs Athena = Atlantis vs Athens.
Hephaestus and Aphrodite are the future rulers.
Nice to see some info on Hestia. She is my favorite of the gods.
Hades brought me here

Always fascinated how similar gods are in different regions. Makes you wonder which is the true version
That´s becaus all ancient religions have the same origin.
Incredible artwork this! This is so brilliantly done!❤

Aphrodite my favorite Hestia goddess of fire and Demeter and goddess of the harvest
After watching it I feel enlightened because in this video the name is shown and the characteristics is indicated, accompanied with their stories that made me knew the different gods and their symbols.
i love greek mythology that is my favorite thing to read about and is my favorite hoby
I could watch this channel all freaking day. It’s just so interesting,
Im in love with the Artemis character...my god she was a treasure...
Excellent well formatted, informative , and clarity of voice production. One of the best I have seen.
Many thanks ! Peace & Love ❤️🙏
Perfect video! Thank you! Could we hope for one about lesser gods?
That was a really great video, much appreciated

I’ve been to the Parthenon in Nashville several times bc it’s incredible, the only full-scale replica of the original. It has a 43’ (I think) statue of Athena and it’s loaded with art and giant doors for, I guess giant people. Medusa is on her shield. Go if u ever get the chance!
Athena = THE GOLDEN GODDESS!
Must say blood of Zeus peaked my interest in furthermore investing in the Greek mythology
I don’t care what anyone says, Hades, Hestia and Hera are my favorite
The artwork is off the charts in this video.
So True, on the people's choice, not the Gods.
Being Hellenic myself, I'm glad that these videos are narrated so well. I would not call the practice and entire ideology a myth, however you can call any religion mythology.
My guess is : after a long wonder of Olympian gods nature is that they are sorta Spirits that dwelled on Greek lands and had responsibly over areas.
You're video are the best❤️❤️ I like the way speak.. Awesome
When the youngest brother takes an older sister for his wife and mother of his children, you have a recipe for disaster.....
Nice to see all the videos in one place
I'm a hour late..... May the gods have mercy on my soul
.....
The gods of Olympus have abandoned me now there is no hope
Is it just me that noticed every time he says anything about Zeus and his lovers he says "Her lovers"?
Yea, i thought so. But, then its soo much info all at once, i thought I wasnt staying up with the story.
Could you do a series on celtic mythology like lugh, dagda, the morgania and such it would be cool
I hope you have thought of doing a podcast~
Greek mythology is the most interesting thing
awesome video
