Gents, you really should not be using a stanley knife to score the cores before removing the semi-con layer. If you go just a little too deep on the cut at the screen end, you will get discharge here which would likely lead to failure. There are simple tools to do this job around £60
That kind of Technicians earn $35-45 /hr in Canada plus all the medical benefits. Average income of these technicians are around $80,000-90,000 /yr. You can imagine their lifestyle. In my Mahan India ......see in the video....even technicians don't have gloves and safety shoes...... How sad.......
What will happen if the length of anti tracking tube of 6.6kV 3Core termination kit is reduced at site due to constraint of terminal box dimension.. assume supplied length of anti tracking tube is 500mm and we reduced it at site to 450mm
In such conditions use 11KV kit. One voltage higher kit will suffice the need of 50cm length reduction in sleeve. If thats not possible then after connecting the cable kindly apply HT tape on the entire lug section and the connecting screw. I would suggest 3M scotch 70 silicone self fusing tape as it has anti-arching and anti-tracking properties and it can withstand upto 180 Degree C. Electricity board jaye JE ke pass letter likh ke dena hoga. Usme apna problem likhna hoga. Fir wahi pe rah kar apna pahle wala bijli bill ko bund karwana hai . Taki sirf aapka aak he bill aaye wo v jo meter lagwaye hai usi ke anushar
You should have used a roll spring to wrap over the earth lead not an ordinary copper wire. Stress control tubing (Black) placed over the cores should be positioned 70mm above the end of the oversheath cut. Moisture blocker the soldered portion of the earth lead should be positioned 30mm over the sheath end. You wasted cables because measurements wasn't done correctly before stripping the cable oversheath. The work is good but not following the proper procedures of cable terminations.😊

It would have taken 2 hours for permits, PPE check, tools inspection and LPG permission to just start the work.
