United States Type Set of Coins - Nearly Complete Special Edition Dansco 7070 Collection

A type set of coins is a great way to collect coins, particularly for beginners who are unsure what they want to collect. With a type set, the collector acquires one example of each major design type. In building a type set you not only create an amazing display of coinage over the years, but you also will learn which types you like and which you do not.
This video shows a nearly complete United States Type Set of Coins housed in a special Continental Line of the popular Dansco 7070 U.S. Type Set album. The collection features many excellent coins.

As you are sooooo aware . . the Classic Large Cent seems to always be the coin by which the entire set can be judged. I missed that one last nite . . then went back, just hoping. I have plenty . . .but always look for fun! Many of these are super mid-grade Type. I will hope to see you Saturday . . . . . . - Jeff

Agreed! The Classic Head Large Cent in this one is low grade, but at least it had one of them in there! So many times I see mostly complete sets missing that one. That and the Seated Liberty Dollars. When I was putting together an AU-UNC Dansco 7070, the Classic Head Large Cent was one of the reasons I stopped cracking coins from slabs for my album. Was just too expensive of a coin in AU for me to be sticking in an album I thought! Thanks for watching!

Those albums are hard to find just got my hands on a Morgan dollar date set. I like the continental better but very hard to come by. Always have an eye for the major type set and yet to see one for sale even on eBay
