Looks like tumbled Rose quartz, loved the little pipe bowl and that lovely pot lid. Loved the pretty glass piece Jules found at the beginning and that fabulous marble sphere. It's midwinter and I'm spending Sunday afternoon armchair mudlarking in North America watching Si, Nicola and other British mudlarking favorites finding treasure and curious things. It's always a treat and I appreciate the posts.
Hi, I'm tuning in from Australia and the pink stone is definitely a Rose Quartz, the stone of love. I'm so jealous that you guys can go mudlarking, there nowhere old enough here to do that. Really enjoying watching you guys find some goodies. Cheers
I always think the same when I watch these vids. So much history to find there, just pick it up off the ground. We've only got 200 years of nothing much. If you dig a 2metre deep hole in The Palace Rose Garden of the Royal Botanic Gardens (SYdney) you might find an old blue glass bottle of a clay pipe, but you'd have to be lucky.ALSO, you'll probably get arrested. They don't like people digging up the rose garden.
I was with an archaeologist once who found a perfectly round stone just the size of yours. He said many years of tumbling made it round and he gave it to me as a gift. He was to climb K2 a few months later. I think he died in the climb. But my stone is right here with me. That was in the late 70s. Thanks for the memory
I really enjoyed this one a lot ! Adele was great. I just spent 20 years driving buses in Washington and she is doing great with her off time. The bicycle lamp cleaned up beautifully!
I love that lamp! Exactly my favourite sort of find! Just needs a new burner!
Your lamp is Absolutely Beautiful!! Great find.
Ahhh aren't you mudlarking boys nice to each other? That's a really nice little bike lamp. I dread to think how packed with finds your homes are. I know if I lived in London I would struggle to go to work! Have you all got jobs? 😁 I think in my house I would barely find room to live! What a fab hobby. Very envious.
This video was just awesome !!!! My favorite was hands ✋ down for the bicycle 🚲 lamp, so unique in its own right !!! But I wish that your friend would keep it in his living room and injoy the lamp lit up. Just wonderful finds !!!!
Cheers Diane. I suspect he will 👍🏻🐾🧡
The lamp is magical. Thoroughly enjoyed this, thanks.
I could not be more envious of your magnificent treasures found on this adventure! What a grand haul... lol. I wouldn't be able to stop. The tide would probably sweep me out to sea! We don't get lovelies like that here when we walk along our waterways, though there are things to be found, nothing with the history and variety, good grief, there are so many possibilities by the Thames!!!
The lamp! It's magical with what you did to it!
What a cracking job you did in cleaning the bicycle lamp It’s always amazing what turns up in the River Thames!
I am a new lover of mudlarking watching from northern Michigan USA what a great adventure you are all on I wish you all the best in finding those fantastic Treasures we really enjoy your show
The bike light is absolutely gorgeous
Rose quartz is the stone you found, they make lovely pieces of jewellery. Thanks for the video.
Defiantly that's tumbled smoky rose quartz! Congrats~
The lamp is just lovely!
