Science stuff good, I would not mind seeing a high level summary/trailers for it on this channel either so that I can then decide if it is an episode to watch. Harry's Farm when he does the analysis side of farming is always fascinating. Hearing from some of the researchers as to what they are looking for and what they have discovered will be fantastic.
@@JMFarming exactly, there are so many channels now the job is being overdone. Only those with something interesting or a big personality will survive. Several have already gone or are struggling.
Yes please Josh would love to see more of the science stuff please but equally importantly if its possible to see some of the results of the research would be really great. 👌👌
Ideal, thanks for the feedback Dermot! There is a portal on the Rothamsted Research website where you can make a free login and view data that is recorded on the farm.
Great video Josh! I do remember you getting a load of manure wedged in a trailer ("Trailer Stuck In The Air..." video). I also remember seeing some of the great science in progress (the plot samples with the Sampo in "Tiny Combine Harvester" video), and of course my favorite science videos of "Slurry Everywhere! We Made A Mess!" and "Spreading Slurry...With A Twist!". There have been others as well. I think it would be a great idea to feature more of the science, including how your grass samples are published as references in your Ag Magazines. The research center has a nice website, but seeing a plain talk version on a channel would be useful. Some of the community activities (tours and education) might also be something to feature, as well as the first commercial fertilizer history. Plus, I'm sure "Lead Science Video Production Producer" would come with a nice increase in pay. You also provide some valuable resources in discussing the programming of panels/equipment in the tractor, as well as your videos of demo models of new equipment. A new channel would be suitable, but not much of a stretch from some of the things you've done in the past on your channel. I'd watch either way. Thanks for the video!
Good idea Josh, like to see more of the science long as we get to see more of Dr Phil. Enjoy yourself and John on home farm. Makes for great video when 3 of you are together. What is the 2 farm names was looking up Rothamstead👍
Thanks! We will incorporate some more into the videos! Phil has his own channel going now as well! North Wyke is the home farm, Rowden is the science farm 👍🏼
Thanks Josh. Great, informative videos no matter what you all decide to do. We roll some wheat here and mix Maxxum with it for a while till it goes in the wagon.
Definitely science videos, really keen to see how it all works and what works! Could do some sheep videos too if you can bear it 🤣🤣 like the idea of videos from both farms 👍👍
Gotta agree with some of the comments regarding the science stuff. It would set you apart from a lot of the other farming channels. I had a good yap with one of your colleagues at sheep south west 2019 and it was all really interesting stuff.
it would be really interesting to follow more for the science as it was interesting to listen to your dad on the farm flix video so to gi in to it some more would be good plus dr Phil is such an amazing man to Watch
I shall pass on the comments to Dad, I'm sure he'll be happy to hear them! I assume you have seen Dr's channel? If not... www.youtube.com/@BusywithDrPhil
Hi Josh these Sunday coffee morning's soon come round. I like all what you film on ether farm it's all interesting. You are very good at explaining and filming. Carry on take care. Ps hydraulic pipes were a pain in my! They were always one bursting or leaking on some machine glad those days are gone. But loved the life. Cheers
Hi Josh yes wouldn't mind seeing the science stuff even on here would be fine, I always enjoy watching Harry's Farm when he chats about stuff like that, but I also live near Harry so it's always nice to see my local area as well, anyway another enjoyable vid as always your one of the best channels out there mate.
Always been amazed that you have been allowed to do your own TH-cam Channel while you are an employee. I think it would be a good idea to give us some science 🤔 stuff for us. Do you have a link for the Rothemsdead channel ?
It benefits Rothamsted in a way as it gets more eyes looking at what is going on. So its a win-win as long as everyone is happy. www.youtube.com/@RothamstedResearch/featured is the channel link
Yep! To the science experiments and importantly the results as much as possible too. I was possibly one of the first to ask when you only had a few hundred subs Josh. Fantastic. Whatever the science says ain't turning me vegan, that's for sure.
As a Westcountry boy living in Australia I love watching your videos as it’s like being back at home again! Science + the results would be awesome! 👍
You are a long way from home! Glad you like the videos! Will get some more of the science in when I can! 👍🏼
Hi great video . Yes the idea of a separate videos explaining what goes on on the out farm would be very interesting
Thanks Martin! 👍🏻

Would enjoy watching a video now and again about the science part of the farm but have to say your videos are great the way they are👍
Thanks Paul! I think I will try and incorporate it in along side the normal theme of videos!

Nice to see a variety of 👍🏼 & 👎🏽 for the science videos. It's a 👍🏼 from me when your ready. Great video once again.

Harry’s farm isn’t that far from me as well, same Cotswold brash as there is in my village

What tractor do you recon yours will be swapped for in the future, great vid btw as always
Probably the same thing, maybe different gear box!

Why have he got such a dig tractor on the scraper
We only have the 2 machines over there, saves having another machine just for the scrape.
If your getting lots of comments and questions surely it makes sense to show the science side on this channel?
You may well be correct Nigel!
Would love to see some scientific content, but can't we keep it on this channel as it's already established?
I’m sure we can, I think Phil (with his Rothamsted hat on) is keen to also make a channel for it specifically.
Do you work with your dad or is it your dads farm
Dad worked here for 33 years, he retired at Christmas. Farm is owned by a research company 👍🏼
No interest in the science atal, Boarding is an understatement.. Stick with what you are at..
