@@AeroPlaysPokeryea my streak is still continuing :D. Hey I’m curious tho, how do I request a table change? Especially on days like Tuesday where I usually sit down at the table with a bunch of old nits 😅
Finished watching. Great video. Couple questions though… noticed you raising PF to 2.5, why? I’ve heard this is common in Europe but I haven’t seen it at the tables yet. Also, would you use this sizing regardless of position (assuming no limps of course). Lastly, later in the video you made a 4x PFR (the 77 hand I believe). Your comments on varying PF bet sizing? Had always been told that’s a bad idea. Thanks for your time.
Which hand did I raise to 2.5x? You'll have to be more specific. For the 77 hand, we're short handed and I'm out of position. I charge more when out of position. On a full table, I would just check back if in the blinds, or open to 3x if first into the pot. On a full table, I do use a sliding scale with my raises though, often open raising between 15-25 with the exact same hands.
Ohhh you must be referring to $25 raises when there's a live 10. That's pretty normal for the 2-5 game since the straddle effectively reduces everyone's stack size by half in terms of blinds. You'll notice in the second to last hand when I have AK, my opponent opens to 25 as well.
why not raise 2.5? Your goal is to bet enough to get some action without the entire table calling. If you open to $25 and 6 people call then youre not raising large enough. If you open to $35 and everyone folds then you're opening too large. Just feel out the table and see what theyll tolerate.

The 2-5 deep stack at the Wynn has a 1500 buy-in which is actually higher than the 5-10 for most home town casinos. 1500 is the same max buy-in for the 5-10 that the Bellagio used to run for over a decade before they recently changed it to 2500. I would like to hear your analysis about Q8s bb defend in a 3way but folding hu. In my mind is better to play hu with mediocre hands rather than 3way. Please insight me 😅😅
I'm a multi-way, full ring specialist. The more people in a hand, the better my psychological advantage in dissecting what each person has. You will get some insight into this with my very next vlog that will air possibly tomorrow. I can basic pull Houdini tricks with enough people in a hand, .... or if you are sitting directly next to me ....
Multiple reasons. I'm a family man, so I spend time with the family during the day and wait until they're all in bed before I sneak off. Secondly, I avoid the OMC retirement crew that play during normal business hours at all costs lol. You also get more drunks at night. Lastly, I take damage in direct sunlight and need to escape back to my coffin before the sun rises.
hitting two pair, trips, and quads in the first few hours and then two more trip sets definitely does not help your ' I'm not sunrunning' argument hahahahaha. nice session though!
It can, if you live close to a card room. I used to playing just the weekends at Foxwoods, which was a 3-hour drive from Boston. This is the math: $10K in 30 days is $333.33 per day. Playing for 4-hours a day, you need to make $83.33 per hour. Buy-in is typically $500. In an hour, you may get a hand dealt every 3 minutes. That's 20 hands per hour. If you fold your big and small blind, you lose about $14 in a 9-person game. In 4 hours, that's -$56. You basically see 80 hands, but you'll typically play 10% of those hands, so 8 hands. $389.33 / 8 = $48.66 is what you'd need to win for each of those 8 hands. Raising to $20 typically has 1 or 2 callers. C-bet on the flop, most will likely fold. Win a big hand, you can just leave. Go on a heater, you can make $2K or more in under an hour. However, you will likely lose 25% of the hands you play, so minimize your losses for your losing hands.
You mentioned folding Q8s in the big blind if it was heads up but you decided to call since it’s multi-way… Even though you are getting better pot odds due to there being more $$ in the pots. You actually defend the BB less frequently due to the fact that you are less likely to realize your equity multi-way. (:
I was thinking the same lol every suited Q is a defend in the BB even if it’s an UTG open 9-handed. Should actually be calling less multiway with marginal hands in cash but Q8s is fine as a call
The last time I had Aces and 4-bet your Jacks, you folded almost instantly face up even though you were in position. This time you tanked a long while. What did you have? :O
@@AeroPlaysPoker Well, position doesn't much matter with jacks when you're up against aces in a 4b pot. If I was better at flopping sets, I might have called.
If you watch the rest of my vlogs, all of my sessions are only about 3-4 hours long. :D Making big hands is not how you get paid in poker. I was only up $248 past the 3-hour mark. You need to make the maximum when you make any kind of hand, and lose the minimum when you think you're beat even if you have a monster. One of the biggest pots I won was with A-high... I didn't actually make anything in those big hands I made. $80 for top two with K10, $25 for the set of 5's, $40 for the quads, $40 for the set of 7's....
What are the odds of winning 21 in a row then? Because that's what I did. ;D Also, a 60% win rate is incredibly low for a higher tier pro. Secondly, you are equating a game of skill as if it were a roulette wheel or baccarat hand. Poker doesn't exactly work like that. One of my session wins was for $15
@@AeroPlaysPoker how did you come to the conclusion the 60% win rate is "incredibly" low? Win % also varies by play style, but in no universe would I consider 60% to be low. Even for a crusher, I'd say it's just a bit below par.
If you factor in rake, a poker player who wins 50% of the time is a losing player, if you assume that wins are as big as losses. (My losses are typically bigger than my average wins.) So someone who wins 60% of the time only comes out ahead 2 sessions for every 10 since 4 of his wins will cancel out 4 of his losses. Considering I only play about 15 sessions a month, that would only average me 3 take home sessions a month. I would only make 2-3k a month with that win percentage. That would be enough for a profitting recreational player, but hardly enough for any professional to consider it as his sole income at the 2-5 level. That's pure mathematics. From an annecdotal stand point, I've been a pro for over 16 years. I have an older brother who was a pro for 10+ years before I even got started. I have many friends and acquaintances who are pros...
@@AeroPlaysPoker it's surprising to me that your losses are on average bigger than your wins. My tracker doesn't have hard stats readily available but my average wins eclipse my average loss substantially. Maybe I just have a higher variance play style than you. My win % is 65 over the last 1600 hours/1.5 years, which I don't consider low at all, especially paired with a 14bb/hr win rate. I'm not sure a benchmark for win % exists like it does for bb/hr. It would be kind of hard to normalize with the variables in play style, session length, game availability, etc.
@@ericy5670 I have ego and pride problems. 😅 i hate losing. When I have a losing session, I will sit there like a stubborn mule trying crawl my way back to even by shere force of will alone... So my losing sessions, albeit rare they may be, are normally for 2k-2500. Wheras my wins are typically 700-1500. But yes, I can agree different win percentages can depend heavily upon play style. If your wins are much larger than your losses, you can subsist on a smaller win percentage. Poker Bankroll tracker keeps win percentage by the way.
It is yes. Well, I -was- working 20 hours a week or less, but then I started this TH-cam channel and now it's closer to full time due to the video productions. 😅
You keep making loose decisions because you are 4 handed. This is bad reasoning. Your raise first in range shouldn't be much different from the button if there are 4 or 9 players.
I'm the first to admit I'm not a short handed specialist. I only ever sit short handed while waiting for enough spots on the main tables for our table to break. 😅

Is there a reason you play sessions after midnight?
Multiple reasons. I'm a family man, so I spend time with the family during the day and wait until they're all in bed before I sneak off. Secondly, I avoid the OMC retirement crew that play during normal business hours at all costs lol. You also get more drunks at night. Lastly, I take damage in direct sunlight and need to escape back to my coffin before the sun rises.
Bro I’m dead lol nice response
hitting two pair, trips, and quads in the first few hours and then two more trip sets definitely does not help your ' I'm not sunrunning' argument hahahahaha. nice session though!
One session does not define a good player :D I won 21 sessions in a row between May to June.
I'm a full table specialist. I get more information in a multi-way situation as opposed to heads up. It's just my personal skill set 😅
I was thinking the same lol every suited Q is a defend in the BB even if it’s an UTG open 9-handed. Should actually be calling less multiway with marginal hands in cash but Q8s is fine as a call
Savagely handsome? Sounds about right.
So savage... So handsome! 🤩😘
@AeroPlaysPoker I don't exactly remember. I think it was AQ. I was never calling. It was either a 5b or fold, which is why I tanked so long.
@@rain_delayYou gotta hit the gym more, bro! 💪 Practice hitting those sets...

Yo aero u get patreon setup yet??
@@InnerEngineer999 yes it's @AeroPlaysPoker
In almost 4 hours you made: Big two pairs, Trips, straights, flushes, full houses, & quads. If that’s not running PURE idk what is.
You might have talent but the heater will end you were on a hell of a heater here. I've played for days and not made a set. Talk to me in 20 years.
Well I've been a professional for almost 17 years now. Does that mean I can talk to you in 3? 😂🤣
I knew the Jack the😂
Confused by this statement.. are you saying you understood the Jack Septic Eye reference? :D It's because Gary is from Ireland.
Lol this is so unrealistic. You are on a super heater. Most people watching this video gonna go bankrupt trying to replicate this 😂😂😂
Don't try this at home, kids!
what’s super heater?
@@jinwei5273 Some people seem to think my 21-win streak is based off of pure luck alone without taking into account any skill level. 😅
u do have great reads aero, but there are definitely people much better than you who cant get a 21 in a row winning sesh, i like the videos though :)
@Larxy_ I can get behind this comment :D Win ratio declines the higher in stakes you go even if your monthly increases.
winning 18 sessions in a row is in the neighborhood of 10,000-1 assuming 60% win rate which is reasonable for a winning player.
(My losses are typically bigger than my average wins.)
So someone who wins 60% of the time only comes out ahead 2 sessions for every 10 since 4 of his wins will cancel out 4 of his losses.
Is poker your main source of income?Amazing if it is and your only working 20 hours a week
It is yes. Well, I -was- working 20 hours a week or less, but then I started this TH-cam channel and now it's closer to full time due to the video productions. 😅
And you question was whether you're sunrunning? I guess you have your answer
Can you read my book ? :-) You have a voice use to read audio book ?
That's a first! :D I always thought I had a high pitched scratchy voice when replayed on any audio voice.
@@AeroPlaysPoker Truth be told everyone who doesn't like the sound of their own voice on a recording indicates you're not a narcissist and a good person so I'm glad you think that way

Hello! 👋
@Aero Innovations, would you ever consider streaming online cash games/ MTTS id be very intrested in watching if you
did
I'm not a huge fan of online poker. I did get sponsored for a 60% split for the pokerrr2 app before though. Made 20k one week playing 5-10 and PLO. :D I don't multitask super well though and could only manage 3 tables at a time. Ideally, I'm a 2-5 cash game specialist. Really enjoying this vlogger journey though!
yes but no. you can run hot for a month and average $125/hr (part time = 20hr/week = 80/hr month = 10k/80 = 125$)
near impossible long term.
What could you consider long term? 6 months? One year? State something feasible and let's see if it can be achieved.
@@AeroPlaysPokerthe amount of hours you play over the longterm will help determine your winrate. We all have hot and cold streaks. But skill will prevail.

@@paulboyd561 I post losing hands every single session, as long as they provide something to learn from.
