    Reality: Most people (including professional chefs) use the Vitamix for things OTHER than smoothies... so.. the vacuum sealing method doesn't matter as much. Vitamix is still a KING!

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      Great point! Vitamix is a versatile blender, especially for non-smoothie tasks. But vacuum blending actually benefits any blended mixture where air is typically introduced-smoothies, soups, sauces, and even nut butters. The key advantage is that removing oxygen before blending helps preserve nutrients, reduce oxidation, and deliver a smoother, more consistent texture across the board. In fact, the only Vitamix model designed to inject air into the mixture is the Aeration Carafe, which is the opposite of what vacuum blending does. For those looking for the best flavor, color, and texture, vacuum blending can truly elevate all your blended creations, not just smoothies. It’s about getting the most out of your ingredients!

      I’m not sure that it’s true that most people use the Vitamix for things other than smoothies. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like smoothies would actually be the primary reason people use the Vitamix.
      However, there is a counterpoint here. Does the Kuvings blend so well that it produces micronization like the Vitamix does? Because if it doesn’t, then it doesn’t matter if it has less oxygen. Because we cannot digest cell walls.

      @@jtlbb2 I'm talking most people that use blenders... like restaurants where the blender is use to puree, powder and emulsify.... sure - the average joe at home that is RAW is probably using them for making smoothies... but the blender is an essential appliance in the kitchen for a host of other tasks!

    John Kohler because of you I brought the Solo star 4, Original Solo Star, Slow Star and Omega VRT 400. I got incredible low prices beyond belief. The Slow Star has that special attachment and I use that and then add water in small amounts and hand mix skowky. The results are incredible John Kohler. I blend mostly but the Slowstar hand mixing is even better. 47 RPM compared to hugh speed blending. Yes , yes I blend but the Slow Star attachment makes healthier smoothies John Kohler.

    Why not do the comparison with the vitamix vacuum lid kit attachment? You can get the entire Vitamix Void vacuum system for $400 vs the Kurving that's still around $1300 with the discount. It would have been helpful to see that comparison.

      That is a good point, I will make this video in the future! There are pros and cons to each method of vacuum blending. This video: th-cam.com/video/vXElAVCtbcQ/w-d-xo.html I give the general overview of the pros and cons to each vacuum blender. Of course, the con of the Kuvings CB1000 is the price. The biggest con to the VOID systems lid with vitamix kit is that it can be difficult to remove, and that the vacuum pumps can suck up food into them, which would mean you would need to be sure to clean it better. Plus based on my experience the void system lid is not quite as "bulletproof" as the kuvings cb1000.

    • @bunsw2070
      @bunsw2070 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The conversion kit is ridiculously expensive and the Void Systems carafe isn't likely to last long (the seal for the blades is suspect). Also, most Vitamix made in the last decade have a built in magnet sensor to tell if the carafe is in place. The Void can't be used on them. I have a Vitamix and hate it. It sucks air into the blade area all the time and requires constant plunging to get it to work. I was in a health food store today that does smoothies. They use Blendtec blenders in all 5 locations. I asked if they like them and she said they break all the time, even the ones with the buttons. They're switching to Vitamix. I was considering getting a Blendtec and the Void Systems lid. Now I'm debating spending a ridiculous amount on the Kuvings. I hope it lasts a really long time. Otherwise I'll be bent out of shape.

      You're right, $2000 is a lot,(but right now its $600 off, so only $1400) but vacuum blending doesn’t have to cost that much:
      1. Affordable Options: Vacuum blenders start at $100. Check out my comparison of the best ones: th-cam.com/video/vXElAVCtbcQ/w-d-xo.html.
      2. Upgrade Your Vitamix: You can turn your Vitamix into a vacuum blender for $300 with this kit: th-cam.com/video/O9dbDd84Ey4/w-d-xo.html.
      3. Vacuum blending reduces air exposure, preserving nutrients, flavor, and texture-perfect for smoothies, nut butters, or grains! You don’t have to spend a fortune to enjoy these benefits.

    There is a counter argument here. Does the Kuvings blend so well that it produces micronization like the Vitamix does? Because if it doesn’t, then it doesn’t matter if it has less oxygen. Because we cannot digest cell walls. So if the Kuvings can’t break down vegetables at the cellular level then, while it might have less oxygen, those nutrients will be inaccessible to humans. So there’s more to think about other than oxidation.

  • @tenore8
    @tenore8 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Even with the coupon, the Kuvings is above most people's price point. I purchased the Void System for my Vitamix, and while the Void blades are not nearly as good as the Vitamix blades, I can vacuum blend for a fraction of the cost of the Kuvings. That's the way to go, imo.

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's great! Vitamix is definitely powerful for grinding grains. However, grinding under vacuum could take it a step further by reducing oxidation during the process. This preserves more nutrients, like vitamins and water-soluble compounds, and even helps maintain the natural color and freshness of the grains. For example, when grinding oats, reducing oxygen exposure can result in flour with better nutritional properties and longer shelf life. While Vitamix works well, adding vacuum technology can enhance the quality of your ground grains for even better results!
      Here is a study that proves vacuum grinding provides more nutrition and better shelf life: doi.org/10.1051/e3sconf/202339002015

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Haven't done one yet. Will add to do list. If I was to get one the CB1000 would be it. I found the Dynapro does not grind to as fine of a texture, and sometimes misses nuts when blending. Also the vacuum takes much longer and is inconvenient.

  • @markokington5801
    @markokington5801 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You clearly haven’t used this unit long-term. Kuvings replaced my unit three times under warranty before eventually offering a refund. The motor is simply not built to last. What’s the point of a vacuum system if the blender itself doesn’t perform reliably?
    In my 25+ years in business, I’ve used Kuvings blenders alongside Blendtec and Vitamix models, and without fail, Blendtec has proven to be the most reliable and durable option. I’ve owned nearly every major blender on the market, and Blendtec consistently stands out as the best.

  • @lisaandfriendslive2976

  • @corinna59
    @corinna59 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I would have considered the Kuvings
    _but_
    1. it has a short warranty which would be even more important because of the vacuum pump
    2. it seems to have no tamper for difficult things (like raw vegan mozzarella or nut butter)
    3. it has no turning knob for difficult things which is more convenient than tapping on buttons
    4. it only has one type of container.
    So it is not suitable for me and for now I will stick to the vacuum blender I already own.

      @corinna59 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have the Bianco di puro Gusto Pro and the vacuum pump for that. But at the end of the mixing process the vacuum is weak only. I‘m not sure if the sealing should be better or if this is only because the food gets warmer and expands. So I keep an eye on the vacuum blender market.

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I understand your loyalty to American-made products, but here are a few key points to consider:
      Vitamix Manufacturing: While Vitamix used to be "Made in the USA," it’s now labeled “Engineered and Assembled in the USA.” This means some of the components (such as the motors) are sourced from other countries (such as China). You can check this info directly on their website:
      “Vitamix products are engineered and assembled in the USA, with a commitment to premium quality using high-end materials like stainless steel blades and cool-running motors.”
      Embracing New Tech: Vitamix has not yet embraced vacuum blending, which is a huge missed opportunity IMO in terms of preserving nutrients and flavor. Vacuum blending eliminates air exposure, keeping smoothies and blends fresher and more nutrient-dense. As someone who has experienced the benefits of vacuum blending firsthand, I believe it's important to educate customers on this technology. Vitamix hasn't evolved in this space yet, and that's a gap I want to highlight.
      Kuvings and Others: Yes, Kuvings is made in South Korea, but that doesn’t mean it’s inferior. Many high-end products come from there, and their vacuum blending technology offers real, measurable benefits. I’d recommend considering the results you get, not just the brand or location of manufacturing.
      At the end of the day, my goal is to share knowledge about the best tools available, and vacuum blending is one technology that could make a huge difference for anyone blending regularly. It’s not about “discount juicers,” but rather about getting the most out of your ingredients. I want consumers to be aware of the full spectrum of blending options, including vacuum blenders!

      Thank you for sharing your perspective! Both juicing and blending have their own benefits, and the choice often depends on personal preferences and health goals. Juicing focuses on extracting nutrients and vitamins in a more concentrated form, while blending retains fiber, which is great for digestion. As for the machine, it’s always wise to research and assess if it meets your needs before deciding. It’s all about finding what works best for your lifestyle and health journey!
