Hey Shane, where is the drive enable input checking for studio 5000 firmware 21.11? The axis properties doesn’t have a drive/motor tab. It must be hidden somewhere else possibly? Thanks for the help and the video
@@traviscoleman9520 probably a version issue, I skipped version from 20 and below to version 28 and above. Version 21 has bugs so I recommend upgrading or downgrading
@@ShaneWelcher I have several hundered feet of chain driven by 3 servos. Each servo doesn’t run all the time. If the conditions are right, the one servo will drift backwards. Is there a command I can use to hold it at 0? I’d like to refrain from using the brake that’s on it cause it’d be on and off constantly.
@@ShaneWelcher so the motor does have a brake but I fear with how much stopping and starting its doing, I might create a new problem by engaging and disengaging the brake.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR GOOD TUTORIALS

Very helpful when troubleshooting a servo issue, vs a program issue.
Thanks, I agree

Are you using a real servo drive axis?
Or a just a axis that is not for a motor?
Real axis. Not a virtual.

@@danekline7913 sounds like you need a brake to help hold that much weight or a gearbox with a high ratio

@@danekline7913 You should not have any motor issues with a MAS with a servo that has a brake
